Picking the right weapon for every task is important in any game, but it's most especially vital in a Souls-like title such as Hellpoint.

Hellpoint is a recent Souls-like that has become pretty popular. It is a sci-fi action-adventure game that focuses on unraveling the mysteries of cosmic gods. Like any Souls-like game, Hellpoint has a fair amount of weapons to try out and different builds that players can make to help them survive the enemy onslaughts.

While it offers fewer weapons than your typical Dark Souls game, each weapon has its own abilities that make them all unique.  Which ones are the best though? Let's take a look at what makes some of them more amazing than others.

Updated July 12th, 2021, By Aden Carter: Hellpoint, unfortunately, hasn't received any new content since its release back in July of 2020. There have been quite a few interviews with the developers though that sound like DLC will be coming in the future. While the current status of DLCs is unknown, the studio's co-founder, Mathieu Boudreau, said that if the game performs well enough then there will be expansions coming. These expansions will offer new ways to play the game and keep players coming back for more. It would be nice to see additional weapons and armor in the game. After all, Hellpoint only has so much to offer in its current state and it is one of the better souls-like games that aren't from FromSoftware.

10 Column

  • Conductor Effect: Equip a conductor to increase the weapon's potential
  • Column Mastery: Increases damage with this weapon

The Column can be found extremely early on in the game and is perhaps one of the best strength weapons. It is slower to swing but deals massive damage to anyone unfortunate enough to come in contact with it.

The Column can be found near the first breach in the Arcology Underside. Simply go down the hallway and hang a left. You can receive mastery with the weapon as well as equip a conductor to it. Unfortunately, it doesn't have some of the potential that other weapons have, but it is in no way a bad weapon for how early you can get it.

9 Officer Glaive

  • Conductor Effect: Equip a conductor to increase the weapon's potential
  • Stamina Regen Influx: +6% bonus to stamina regen
  • Weight Handling: This weapon feels lighter in the hand
  • Glaive Potential: Increases the reach and power of the weapon
  • Reflex Handling: Increases reflex capabilities
  • Damage Influx: Fighting skills deal more damage
  • Pierce Dash: Long-range piercing attack

The Officer Glaive is another earlier game weapon that has proven to be effective throughout the entire game. The Officer Glaive is located at the Observatory. There is a body next to the breach that has the weapon.

From its abilities, it gets better stagger chances, increased reach, and a powerful piercing attack that can be initiated at a distance. This weapon also increases the player's energy and is less likely to get deflected by shields. It comes in handy, especially during the early game.

8 Ceremonial Dagger

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Health Influx: 6% bonus to max health
  • Weapon Connection: Less prone to being deflected by shields
  • Backstab: Fatal strike against the unwary
  • Foresight Influx: Bonus to Foresight
  • Damage Influx: Fighting skills deal more damage
  • Weapon Throw: This weapon can be thrown

The Ceremonial Dagger is probably one of the best early-game weapons that are viable for the rest of the game. It can be found in the Embassy on top of an altar on the upper levels. It is pretty versatile despite having an extremely short range.

It gets the ability to be thrown which can help with distance and can backstab enemies. Its other abilities increase player health and foresight along with allowing the weapon to not be deflected by shields.

7 Lost Hatchet

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Stamina Regen Influx: 6% bonus to stamina regen
  • Energy Influx: 15% bonus to max energy
  • Axe Throw: Throw an astral version of this axe
  • Cognition Handling: Increases cognition capabilities
  • Reflex Handling: Better usage of reflexes
  • Berserker: A flurry of devastating attacks

The Lost Hatchet is easily one of the most versatile weapons that you can get early on in the game. It is obtained by defeating the Celestial Beast in Arcology. After defeating the beast, the Lost Hatchet can be found on the side of the bridge.

It has seven abilities that can help tremendously in the game. It can increase stamina regen, increase energy, increases cognition, and have different attacks that can be unlocked like the Axe Throw and Berserker attack.

6 Disciple Ferula

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Stamina Regen Influx: 6% bonus to stamina regen
  • Damage Handling: Able to mitigate damage better
  • Tool Infusion: Slightly increases damage and increases hitbox size
  • Energy Influx: 5% bonus to max energy

This weapon is found in the Arisen Dominion. Once you are at the Arisen Palace, go to the left and defeat the enemies. The weapon can be picked up afterward. This weapon offers an AOE attack that can throw back enemies and causes decent damage.

The Disciple Ferula is another weapon that offers seven abilities to increase stats and damage. It can increase its damage with handling, increase stamina regen, and increase energy.

5 Thespian Mace

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Thespian Mace Mastery: Increases weapon damage

The Thespian Mace has an appearance similar to the Column and packs a massive punch. While it doesn't offer the ability range that other weapons on the list do, it is well worth a try. With the bonus of a stun module, the Thespian Mace can easily stun lock enemies and make them easy to kill.

To get the weapon, players will need to kill the Consumer at the Alma Mater Atrium during Black Hole Hour. Another Thespian Mace can be found in Alma Mater in a room near the second breach.

4 Thespian Hook

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Thespian Hook Mastery: Increases weapon damage

The Thespian Hook is a fairly common item to find. It is dropped by the Minor Thespians in Port Issoudun. It can also be obtained by finding a secret elevator near the vault that is activated by standing on top of it. This is another weapon that doesn't offer many abilities but packs a punch.

The Thespian Hook can easily tear through enemies. It should be noted that it has a weak leech, but that hardly matters with the right conductor on it. It can easily claw back the energy that players use on abilities.

3 Linked Espadon

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Stamina Regen Influx: 6% bonus to stamina regen
  • Weight Handling: This weapon feels lighter in the hand
  • Espadon's Will: A deadly attack combo
  • Damage Handling: Able to mitigate damage better
  • Strength Handling: Increases strength capabilities
  • Void Strike: Strike an enemy from a distance through a portal

The greatsword-looking Linked Espadon can be found in the Arisen Dominion, but there is a way to find it earlier. It starts off by killing the Arisen Congregators. After doing this, go back to the embassy and unlock the Arisen Dominion, climb the stairs, and hang a left down a small path.

This will allow you to reach the weapon pretty early on. This weapon is a heavy hitter (obviously by its size) and is another weapon with multiple abilities. One of the best abilities allows players to strike at a distance through a portal.

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Energy Influx: 15% bonus to max energy
  • Weight Handling: This weapon feels lighter in the hand
  • Saber Throw: Throw a copy of this weapon
  • Strength Handling: Increases strength capabilities
  • Leech Influx: Increases the amount of energy leeched from blood
  • Shredding Leap: Devastating spin attack

Great for crowd control thanks to its ability Shredding Leap, the Red Saber allows the player to spin uncontrollably to deal good damage. This weapon also leeches more energy out of enemies and can be thrown. The Red Saber can be found in both Port Issoudun and the Sohn District.

It is a weapon that some players have said saved the game because of how good it is. It have seven abilities in total with some of them increasing player energy and attack speed.

1 Archon Spear

  • Conductor Effect: Add a conductor to increase this weapon's potential
  • Stamina Regen Influx: 6% bonus to stamina regen
  • Energy Influx: 15% bonus to max energy
  • Spear Throw: Throw this spear
  • Foresight Influx: Increase foresight capabilities
  • Leech Influx: Draw more energy from blood
  • Archon Blast: Dark energy attack

The Archon Spear needs to be crafted. To craft the weapon, you will need 200 Anti-carbon Particles, 400 Carbon Particles, 300 Inselium Particles, and 1 Archon Spear Model.

This weapon is extremely versatile and has the added ability to be thrown. Its thrown attack deals massive damage and can sometimes instantly kill enemies. Its other abilities allow it to drain more energy, increase player energy, and increase player stamina regen.
