No Man's Sky's Exotic S-Class ships are highly sought after, but they are not easy to find. Here are 10 great ships worth owning and their locations.

Those who play No Man's Sky know finding S-Class ships is difficult, especially if players are looking for ones like Type-7 class Exotics. Finding them can be difficult unless someone knows where to look, and it can be frustrating to find one that is either too expensive or doesn't have quite what the player is looking for. With all the game's ambitious updates this year, it will take hours to get every Exotic S-Class ship.

From Royal class down to Mosquito class, these ships are well sought after. With a universe as large as No Man's Sky, it's no wonder that there are various YouTube videos, posts, wikis, and other resources waiting to lend a helping hand. While this guide will not encompass all the S-Class ships in No Man's Sky, as there are a lot, it does point out a few that are interesting in name, storage capacity capability, and tech size.

Updated July 13, 2021 by Beau Boo Low: Since its disastrous initial release, No Man's Sky has become a gift that keeps on giving. The latest Prisms update has massively improved the game's graphics, with better volumetric lighting and spectacular hyperspace effects. These improvements make adventuring through the cosmos more stunning and beautiful than ever before. Of course, in order to see all the new sights the game has to offer, players will need a ship. The spaceship catalog is bigger than ever and many new exotic-class ships have been added over the course of the game's many updates and expansions. As such, this article has been updated to include new S-class exotic ships for players to hunt down and travel the galaxy in.

The Four Types Of Exotic-Class Ships

  • Royal-style ships: Have ball cockpits and bi-furcated double noses. Often found in Vy'keen systems
  • Guppy-Style ships: Ball cockpits with no nose. Some varieties have elongated rears to look more like fish.
  • Mosquito-style ships: the final variety of exotic class ships with a ball cockpit. They are identifiable by their single, long thin nose.
  • Squid/Calamari-style ships: Have a wide variety of different cockpits and distinctive tentacle noses. These are incredibly valuable ships due to their rarity. The telescopic tentacles will fold up when landed.

15 The II3 Gajor

Discovered in the Raystoku VI system within the Zukasizawa galaxy, the II3 Gajor is a new exotic-class ship added in the Prisms Update. This guppy-style vessel comes in bright yellow and can only be found while playing in permadeath mode.

As well as 15 slots for attachments and four tech slots, this ship comes with a pre-installed launch system recharger for faster take-offs. Players can find the II3 Gajor in the Laikud region at the coordinates 0501:0082:0E54:0008. Those who wish to buy it can expect to pay 5,000,000 units for this ship.

14 Sahikaw's Swift Void Dancer

This guppy-type ship is as awesome as its name, with 20 slots for attachments and six for tech, giving players a lot of options when it comes to customization. As well as all of these slots, the ship also comes with the Efficient Thrusters module. It may be necessary to grind up some units for purchasing this ship, as it costs 11,000,000 to buy.

The Void Dancer was released in the Origins expansion and can be found in the Euclid galaxy. To find it players will need to locate the Atlas Panics star system in the Yipiorunnr band, the exact coordinates for this area are 06A3:0080:0149:003F.

13 The Forge Of The Horizon

The Forge of the Horizon is a mosquito-style ship with a powerful sting thanks to its Fourier De-limiter, which enhances the power of its phase beams. This upgrade makes the Forge a reasonably powerful combat vehicle, with its small size making it easier to dodge enemy attacks.

Released in the Expedition update, this ship can be located in the Euclid Galaxy. To find it, simply travel to the Kedargy-Sany system in the Teteshun Terminus region; the Galactic coordinates are 0DE4:007E:0B03:000D. Be prepared to pay up to 12,000,000 units for this compact and maneuverable fighter.

12 Bandaira's Ruthless Wings

Squid-style ships are some of the most visually interesting designs in No Man's Sky. This ship is very rare, with only a 2% chance of spawning within the Odalvi XVIII system within the Euclid galaxy.

If players are lucky enough to find one, they will enjoy its high number of slots for adding new modules, as well as its superb maneuverability. Bandaira's Ruthless Wings is most likely to be found in a Space Station or a Trade Outpost, selling for 5-12 million units. Players will be able to recognize it by its red chassis with purple-tipped tentacles.

11 The Geometric Defeat

This stylish, red, Royal ship was added in the latest Prisms update. Players will find this ship great for escaping space pirates or other hostile encounters, thanks to its free Emergency Warp Unit. This module allows players to escape any dangerous situation by instantly warping to a random unknown location.

To find the Geometric Defeat, travel to the Waferganh galaxy and set a course for the Eoktisshi Band. At galactic coordinates 0CD3:0079:031A:0045, players will arrive at the Nuning-Toriy star system where this ship can be purchased for 12,000,000 units.
