Using a neat Photo Mode trick, a Mass Effect: Legendary Edition player is able to get a sneak peek at Tali's face in Mass Effect 3.

The Mass Effect series is full of different alien races, which includes the Quarians. The Quarians are unique from the other Mass Effect alien species in a number of ways, with one of their most-defining characteristics being their protective suits. Due to their weak immune system, Quarians wear specialized suits at nearly all times, meaning players go through most of the Mass Effect games without seeing a Quarian without their helmet.

This extends to Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, the potential Quarian companion that players can have with them throughout the Mass Effect trilogy. Tali is one of the few consistent crewmembers throughout the original Mass Effect trilogy, and is even one of Commander Shepard's romance options. Despite this, there is only one instance in the entire trilogy where players can get a truly good look at Tali's face.

Tali's face reveal happens in Mass Effect 3, showing fans what the Quarian looks like without her helmet on. However, it's recently been discovered that it's possible to see Tali's face elsewhere in Mass Effect 3 as well. The discovery was made by Reddit user sizesixteens, who was able to see Tali's face while using Mass Effect: Legendary Edition's Photo Mode.

As explained by sizesixteens, it's possible to see Tali's face during Mass Effect 3's Leviathan DLC. In the first mission of the Leviathan DLC, there is an area where Tali can stand next to an IV bag. Using Mass Effect: Legendary Edition's Photo Mode, sizesixteens was able to angle the camera in such a way that it made Tali's face visible when looking at her through it. Most Mass Effect players will likely be satisfied with Tali's proper face reveal in the game, but this is still a neat trick nonetheless.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition may very well be the last time that Mass Effect fans will get to play with Tali in their party. The new Mass Effect game is presumably set far in the future, which means Tali is most likely dead. So far, the only party member seemingly confirmed to be returning is the Asari Liara T'Soni, who was seen in the Mass Effect 4 teaser trailer. Asari tend to live at least 1,000 years, so that explains how she could be in the game while Tali most likely won't be; Quarians have a much shorter life expectancy, after all.

As it stands, very little is actually known about the new Mass Effect game in an official capacity. Mass Effect 4 won't be at EA Play this month either, so fans of the franchise may have quite the long wait ahead of them.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
