Hardworking carpenter Robin is a great friend to have in Stardew Valley. Here's how to win her over.

Pelican Town's resident carpenter, Robin, is hardworking, creative, and active in the community. As one of the first connections the player makes in Stardew Valley, Robin soon proves to be both a kind friend and a handy resource. She can construct and upgrade buildings, as well as occasionally provide materials.

Robin is a great friend to have early on in the game, so players should start building a friendship with her quickly. Luckily, this isn't too hard to do — Robin's easy to find around town, and her favorite gifts include some common items. Read on to learn how to quickly befriend this energetic craftswoman.

Winning friends in Stardew Valley is all about showing generosity through gifts. Every player has their likes and dislikes, and the gifts the player gives will affect friendship accordingly. Use the guide below to determine the best gifts to take to Robin.

To chat with Robin and give her a gift, players can usually find her in her carpentry shop during the day. On Tuesdays she'll be at Caroline's house for aerobics class, and in the evenings she heads to the Stardrop Saloon with Demetrius. Additionally, take note of Robin's birthday, Fall 21. Any gift the player gives Robin on this day will count for 8x the usual friendship points.

By far the best options to present to Robin, these items will each boost the player's friendship with her by 80 points. Be sure to save them up when trying to win her favor!

  • Goat Cheese
  • Peach
  • Spaghetti
  • All universal loves

If Loved gifts are hard to come by (which is common early in the game), the following make good substitutes. Each will increase friendship by 45 points.

  • All milk
  • All fruit, except for Peach (see above)
  • Quartz
  • Hardwood
  • All universal likes

Any decrease in friendship is bad news when trying to score points with one of Pelican Town's villagers. Thus, even though Hated gifts are worse than Disliked, it's never a good idea to give any of these items to Robin.

  • Wild Horseradish
  • Holly
  • All universal dislikes, except for Hardwood
  • All universal hates

Like any villager, Robin may post on the Help Wanted board outside Pierre's store, requesting an amount of wood or stone. Bringing her this item will result in 150 friendship points. She also posts two different special orders on the community bulletin board. One of these, "Robin's Project," will ask the player to take sides in a tiff between Robin and Demetrius; side with Robin to earn the crafting recipe for a Deluxe Red Double Bed.

On Spring 11th in Year One, Robin will write to the player saying she has lost her axe and asks for help retrieving it. Find it in the southeastern corner of Cindersap Forest near the sewer grate, and bring it to Robin for one friendship heart.

On Winter 21st, she'll send another letter asking for 10 pieces of hardwood. Fulfilling this request grands one friendship heart as well.

Like many others, Robin will send the player one of her best recipes in the mail once they reach seven hearts with her. This teaches the player how to make pumpkin soup, which replenishes health and energy as well as providing luck and defense buffs.

At any friendship level, Robin may also send the player 50 wood in the mail. The chance of this occurring increases the higher the player's relationship with Robin is. This gift from her is especially useful early in the game, when players are using lots of resources for farm upgrades and crafting.
