Does "Gotta Catch Em' All" apply to Funko Pops? For some Pokemon fans, it absolutely does! There are over sixty figures for fans to collect (and plenty of variations) that makes filling up a Funko Pokedex quite a challenge.

Like all other collectibles, some Pokemon figures are far rarer than others. Whether people have kept them in private collections to increase their value or they didn't sell well in their original run, some of these Funko Pops are incredibly hard to find today.
Updated July 15th, 2021 by Linnea Capps: There are new Funko Pops being released all of the time and with a franchise as popular as Pokemon, make that double! The market for Pop Figures changes often because of this and has resulted in some new figures becoming a bit rarer than others. With new figures becoming more coveted for their value, we've updated this list to reflect those changes to the marketplace.
10 Pikachu (18-Inch)
This massive Funkop of the Pokemon mascot was only released in a limited number of stores in 2020 including Pop In A Box and Entertainment Earth. With the COVID-19 crisis taking place at the time, it made it so even fewer potential buyers ever reached shops to even purchase the exclusive Pikachu, resulting in its current rarity. With just how popular the electric mouse is with fans, it's sure to skyrocket in value as time goes on.
9 Bulbasaur (Flocked) [ECCC]
Flocked Funko Pops tends to be more popular and rare and Bulbasaur is no exception to the rule. The flocked version was exclusive to Emerald City Con 2020. With it being a virtual event, the normal lines might have been circumvented for buying exclusive figures, but they still remain quite rare.
8 Bulbasaur (10-Inch)
Out of all of the extra-large Funko Pops exclusive to Target, the Bulbasaur didn't sell as much as many of the others. Unfortunately, some people just don't have the love for this marvelous Plant type starter so it didn't move as quickly off of shelves.

This has made it more valuable today despite being a part of many people's collections. With collectors less willing to part with it, the scarcity has caused it to increase in value and made it harder to find.
7 Vulpix (Flocked) [SDCC]
Even though San Diego Comic-Con was virtual in 2020, there were still exclusive Funko Pops available for fans to purchase. Vulpix was among them and there was a limited number to purchase. Those who didn't get their hands on this fuzzy flocked firefox friend will have a harder time finding them now without paying a much higher price.
6 Charmander (Flocked) [ECCC]
Sorry Bulbasaur, fans just like Charmander a bit more. Flocker Charmander was also an exclusive Funko Pop that could only be bought during Emerald City Con 2020. Due to their popularity, they sold a bit faster than others and fewer collectors are willing to part with them. This has made them harder to acquire and caused the Funko to increase in value significantly.
5 Charmander (Diamond Glitter) [ECCC]
Talk about a shiny Pokemon! This diamond glitter version of one of the most popular starters of all time is sought after by collectors. While there was a version offered exclusively at Target, the version offered at Emerald City Comic Con is the one that is far rarer. If the box doesn't have that signature green sticker, it's not the one people are hunting for.
4 Charmander (10-Inch) [SDCC Debut]
While a version of the super-sized Funko was later available as a Target exclusive, the version that premiered at San Diego Comic-Con is far more valuable. To get the figure with the special sticker on the box, fans had to show up and purchase it at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. It's sold for over $100 on auction sites, so collectors might want to keep their hands on this one as its value increases.
3 Blooming Curiosity
April showers bring May flowers or in this case, a Pokemon Center exclusive Funko Pop. Blooming Curiosity was part of the A Day With Pikachu collection and is currently the most expensive Pokemon Funko to buy on the secondary market. With its limited-time exclusivity and the short availability to buy the figure, it makes sense that it has become such a rarity to collectors everywhere.
2 Mewtwo (Flocked) [SDCC]
The ultimate terror of the first generation, Mewtwo is massively popular among Pokemon fans. So when a flocked version was announced as an exclusive to the virtual version of San Diego Comic-Con in 2020 loads of people did all they could to get their hands on one.

While some got it hoping to see it increase in value, many fans simply got it for their love of Mewtwo never intended to sell. This has driven up its price on secondary markets and made it a bit harder for fans late to the party to get one for themselves.
1 Vaporeon (Diamond Glitter)
This special sparkly Vaporeon is rare due to its limited availability and the fact that there are four special sticker variants to collect of it.
Those who wanted to collect this rare Funko would have needed to attend Emerald City Comic Con in 2021 where they could have collected it from either Barnes & Noble, the WePlay Store, Game Planet, or the special convention shop itself. The rarest of them all is the direct convention exclusive which is valued at around $200.
