Bethesda announces the first details for QuakeCon at Home 2021, the second annual digital convention built around all things Bethesda.

One of the summer's biggest conventions, QuakeCon, has announced its finalized plans for 2021. Like in 2020, Bethesda will be holding QuakeCon 2021 entirely online, rebranding the convention for a second time to QuakeCon at Home. This year's QuakeCon at Home will start on August 19 and will play host to a variety of exciting Bethesda content. That includes game appearances and announcements, charitable efforts, and community fun with a variety of influencers streams and gaming events.

Like every year, QuakeCon will begin with a kickoff event on its global livestream. The kickoff will officially air on Thursday, August 19 at 11:00 am PT/2:00 pm ET. No details have been shared regarding what kind of plans Bethesda has for its kickoff event. In 2020, Bethesda showed off games including The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Doom Eternal's DLC, Ghostwire Tokyo, and Deathloop. Suffice to say, if Bethesda has some games to show, then it'll show them during QuakeCon 2021.

A big part of last year's QuakeCon, and what will be a big part of this year's, too, is charity. Bethesda takes a lot of pride in using QuakeCon to raise money for charitable groups both large and small. This year's partners include Asian Americans Advancing Justice, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the Trevor Project, and UNICEF. Bethesda encourages all of its digital QuakeCon attendees to contribute as they're able.

Additionally, in a more local effort, QuakeCon 2021 will have two t-shirts available with all profits going to two local Dallas charities. The t-shirts feature pet-themed parodies of Bethesda's games. The first is the Pugcubus for Doom Eternal and the second is Catloop for Deathloop and both are adorable. Fittingly, the two charities being supported are the Dallas Pets Alive effort to encourage adoption and Four Paws, an organization for global animal welfare. Both t-shirts are already available for purchase and cost $25.

Bethesda is also inviting gamers at home to take part in a virtual QuakeCon at Home BYOC ("bring your own computer"), since community members can't BYOC to the event itself. Players will be connecting on Twitch with the help of Bethesda's Twitch team. Those streaming can also apply for a chance to be featured on the official QuakeCon Twitch Team page.

There's a lot more information about QuakeCon 2021 left to share, clearly. Little has been revealed about Bethesda's multi-day livestream itself. A full schedule is planned to be shared between now and the start of QuakeCon on August 19. With luck, QuakeCon will be back live and in-person in 2022.
