The NBA superstar LeBron James has arrived in Fortnite, and players can use this guide to figure out how to unlock his skin to use during matches.

The NBA superstar LeBron James has made his way into the ever-changing battle royale game that is Fortnite. This isn't the first time that Epic Games has added an icon like LeBron to the game. There have been appearances from artists like Travis Scott and other athletes such as Neymar Jr. Many of these cameos are part of Fortnite's Icon Series. Because of that, the characters cannot be earned from completing quests or challenges --they need to be purchased.

The LeBron James Fortnite skin made its way to the Item Shop this week on July 14, 2021, and the b-ball player has two separate outfits for fans to choose from. However, they both come with King James' upcoming shoe, the Nike LeBron 19. If players can't decide which style to choose, a King James bundle includes all of the Outfits and a new loading screen starring the celebrity.

For a limited amount of time after the LeBron Skin launches on the Fortnite Item Shop, players could purchase the skin for a discounted price. The King James bundle originally cost 3500 V-Bucks, but players could buy it for only 2500 V-Bucks. The King James Gear Bundle is currently 1800 V-Bucks, and Lebron James himself, without any extras, is 2000 V-Bucks. People who are new to purchasing icon skins via the Item Shop should know that V-Bucks are mostly earned by simply using real-world money to collect them. There are ways to earn V-Bucks through certain challenges and quests, but it takes much longer to amass them.

Fortnite players can purchase V-Bucks by spending real cash, as mentioned previously. 1000 V-Bucks cost $7.99, 2800 V-Bucks cost $19.99, 5000 V-Bucks cost $31.99, and 13,500 V-Bucks can be bought for $79.99. It's up to players whether they want to drop the cash or not, but gamers should be aware that having the LeBron James skin doesn't give them an advantage during battle royale matches. This is simply a cosmetic item for looks only and does not provide any in-game buffs --and that goes for all of Fortnite's cosmetic items and outfits.

If players decide to purchase the skin, they can drop back onto the Fortnite map and complete this week's set of quests or search for the latest batch of Alien Artifacts.

Fortnite is now available as a free-to-play download on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
