While much of Skyrim is dragon-slaying, adventuring, and becoming a hero, it is equal parts tedious inventory management. Over the years, players have found many ways to get around this tedious part of Skyrim, whether that be through mods, buying a house and filling it with storage, or something else, but Redditor iseebugs has come up with a different solution. Rather than follow any established methods, they took matters into their own hands, turning a cultist's dead body in Whiterun into a permanent and infinite storage container. Though this method is not without risk, it actually has some surprising benefits as well.
Redditor iseebugs posted their morbid storage solution on the Skyrim subreddit just 24 hours ago at the time of writing, and in that time it has already garnered over 27K upvotes. Fans also show their appreciation for iseebugs' out of the box thinking by giving them over 40 different awards.

As the post below shows, iseebugs used the corpse of a cultist as storage in Whiterun. Tons of valuables like ore, dragon parts, magical staves, and more are all stored here lying out in the middle of the street. Since this is a corpse, there's no limit to how much stuff players can store on it, and it can also be dragged around as needed. At the moment, iseebugs has it situated directly in front of the blacksmith, likely for easy access to smithing materials. This also happens to be right at the front gate of Whiterun as well.
For players wondering about the corpse despawning, iseebugs confirms that they have been using it as storage for over a year's worth of gameplay and the body has not despawned in all that time. If that were to happen, iseebugs would definitely be out a lot of their materials, however. Those wanting to use this technique for themselves may want to be careful, as one commenter explains in more detail how it works. As long as players visit the body once every ten in game days, then it will not despawn. Forget to do this, though, and everything will disappear.
The Cultist enemy spawns when the player accepts the quest called "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" from the Greybeards. They will seek the player out and ask if they are the Dragonborn, at which point they attack. It seems like iseebugs just happened to be in Whiterun at the time, and this poor cultist was sworn into servitude after his death.
Skyrim is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
