Many Fallout 76 fans voice their discontent with the online multiplayer role-playing game as server issues plague it for weeks on end.

Fallout 76 didn't have the smoothest launch, to put it mildly. Fallout 76 was panned by critics and fans alike for a wide variety of issues, though Bethesda has made great efforts to turn things around since then. Various Fallout 76 updates have been released over the years to address feedback, adding NPCs, adjusting the economy, and making the game a generally more stable experience for those playing it. However, Fallout 76 has once again found itself in trouble, with users reporting frequent server disconnects.

The Fallout 76 community is currently struggling with frequent server disconnects, and it's not clear exactly what's causing the problem, though one theory is that it's caused by people abusing the item duplication glitch. However, even those who use Fallout 76 private servers are having trouble, voicing their discontent in online spaces like Reddit. To make matters worse, it seems Fallout 76 developers have only really commented on the server disconnect issues on Discord, meaning most players have missed the message, making them even more frustrated at the entire situation.

Bethesda will undoubtedly fix the Fallout 76 server issues eventually, but hopefully the fix comes sooner rather than later. Some Fallout 76 fans are even calling for a boycott of the Fallout 1st subscription service to protest the ongoing server issues, so the sooner a fix is implemented the better.

While fixing Fallout 76's server problems may be the highest on many fans' list, there are other things coming to the game to look forward to in the months ahead. Bethesda has teased that Fallout 76 has a new feature in the works for later this year, though it's unclear exactly what that feature is at the time of this writing. This significant new feature for Fallout 76 is expected to come in the game's September update, so fans should be able to expect more concrete details sooner rather than later.

Fallout 76 players also have another major expansion to look forward to as well. As announced at Xbox's E3 2021 event, Fallout 76 is getting a Pittsburgh expansion, returning players to The Pitt area from Fallout 3's DLC. If Bethesda is able to deliver a compelling experience with The Pitt and get Fallout 76's server issues under control, it will be interesting to see if it's able to further improve public perception of the game.

While Fallout 76 fans wait for new updates, they can continue to try to play the game in its current state, though they should keep in mind that they may have to deal with server connectivity issues during their play sessions.

Fallout 76 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
