Loki's finale delivered the kind of epic reveal fans had been hoping for since WandaVision and the artwork is just as spectacular.

This article contains spoilers for Loki.

Now that Loki's first season is over and Marvel Studios’ Multiverse phase has officially started, the studio will surely be eager to flaunt the many characters who were just unlocked in this reality-shifting paradigm. Of course, the first of these displays features Jonathan Majors in his new role, but it’s the name chosen for it and not Kang’s threads that might draw more attention.

Loki's finale solved many of the mysteries built up by the series and also answered a couple of WandaVision questions fans might have been left with, but that doesn’t mean the MCU’s path looks crystal clear now. One of the biggest questions out there is how Marvel Studios will adapt the stories featuring Majors' Kang since his reveal already came with a couple of twists that depart from his and the TVA’s comic book origins.

After sharing official posters for all the Lokis, the show’s social media handles just shared the official promo material for Majors’ character, but in a move that confirms the show’s narrative, he’s going by “He Who Remains” rather than Kang the Conqueror. Kang is one of Marvel’s most interesting villains and the Loki finale gave fans a glimpse into his story prior to becoming He Who Remains, when he may have just been the scientist known as Nathaniel Richards.

The poster clearly shows the apple-loving He Who Remains wearing the robes he donned in Loki's finale with the same blank stare beautifully portrayed by Majors. Of course, Majors will no doubt have his work cut out for him playing Kang’s many conflicting variants all the way through Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and possibly the upcoming Spider-Man and Doctor Strange movies.

He Who Remains met his end at the hands of the stunning and treacherous Sylvie, though he didn’t go out without telling her they’d be seeing each other again in the near future. With Loki set for a second stint on Disney Plus but it being practically a given fact that said the season will not come before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premieres in March 2022, guessing which Kang Sylvie and Loki are going to encounter is quite an enigma.

Though the exact inner workings of the many TVAs are still unknown, Loki chose to fuse the elderly He Who Remains from the comics as just another variant of Kang the Conqueror. However, judging from the way things are going, it's unlikely he'll show up again as Marvel may favor the more charismatic Majors for future incarnations of Kang.

Loki is now available on Disney Plus.
