The long-standing Capitalism board game Monopoly has many iterations, which is why it's not surprising that a Sopranos version is now out.

There is perhaps no board game quite as popular, quite as genius, or quite as good at causing family arguments, than Monopoly. It has been in people's homes for decades and has had many iterations, including a Sea of Thieves version of the classic game. It's not just video games that get adaptations, either. TV shows are also given the Monopoly treatment, such as the much-loved HBO crime drama, The Sopranos.

Put out by The OP Games, this version of Monopoly captures the essence of the award-winning TV show. It features all the references that fans will undoubtedly recognize from Tony Soprano and crew. It features all the major characters and locales, but perhaps what's most amusing about this iteration is the changes made to the Community Chest and Chance cards.  In their place are cards which now say "AYY!" and "OHH!" in that stereotypical mob way.

The Sopranos starred James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano, an Italian-American mobster who tries to balance his home life with his life of crime, while also seeking therapy for his panic attacks. The show ran from 1999 to 2007. Sadly, Gandolfini passed away in 2013. However, his son, Michael Gandolfini took over his late father's role in the Sopranos sequel, which he spoke about in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.

Monopoly is not the only way the show has been immortalized. Back in June, a fan of Skyrim decided to cross the epic RPG world with that of The Sopranos, using a series of edits to bring the show's characters to life in the world of Tamriel. The first clip showed the original Gandolfini character outside in a bathrobe, retrieving a newspaper from one of Skyrim's cobbled exterior paths.

This version of the popular Capitalist simulation board game is bound to bring in both fans of Monopoly and The Sopranos. It's perhaps surprising that something like this hasn't been done before now. One of the things about Monopoly is that it famously can take a very long time to complete a game. That's why, in 2019, Hasbro unveiled a speed version of the game in an attempt to make each playthrough less grueling. Allegedly, it makes it so a game can be completed in around ten minutes. It's surprising that this hasn't kick-started a trend of speedrunning the game. That aside, it begs the question of what other long-dead TV shows can be brought back to life with the power of Monopoly.
