Wardens are a wonderfully versatile class in Elder Scrolls Online, and these armor sets make them nearly untouchable.

The Warden class in The Elder Scrolls Online tends to play best when using a combination of close and long-range attacks, as well as abilities that use both Stamina and Magicka. Their three skill trees mostly contain many Support and DPS abilities but few Tanking abilities, making them great mid-range hybrid-role allies in group content.

Wardens tend to benefit from Light or Medium armor sets, though Heavy armor sets can be just as good for DPS-focused Wardens. Soloing content as a Warden is easier than many other classes, thanks to the class' multitude of Animal Companion skills and self-sustain abilities. It's a versatile class that can be hard to take down when played and geared optimally.

5 The Law of Julianos Set - Craftable

The Law of Julianos armor set is a craftable, Magicka-enhancing set. It grants two major stat increases to the Warden.

  • Two and four pieces of the set equipped each grant 657 Spell Critical.
  • Three pieces equipped give the player 1096 Max Magicka.
  • With five total pieces equipped, it grants an additional 300 Spell Damage.

Wardens tend to use Stamina and Magicka equally, or only slightly use one over the other. However, focusing on Magicka can make the Warden a formidable spellcasting threat, thanks to the class' many Magicka-based abilities. With this set, a Warden can sharply increase their combat potential, throwing out harder-hitting spells for a longer period of time.

The Law of Julianos set can be crafted at the Boreal Forge. Find this specialty crafting location in the South-West portion of Wrothgar.

4 The Perfected Arms of Relequen Set - Medium Armor, Jewelry, Weapons

The Perfected Arms of Relequen is a Stamina and DPS-oriented armor set that gives two important buffs to the Warden, as well as a stat increase.

  • Two and four items equipped each give a Warden 657 Weapon Critical
  • With three pieces equipped the set, gives the Minor Slayer buff, increasing damage by 5% in group content.
  • With five pieces of the set equipped, it gives 1096 Max Stamina and makes attacks apply a stack of Harmful Winds to the target, which deals stacking damage over time.

This set is a must-have for Stamina-based Wardens, whether focusing on close combat or ranged combat, for its high-potential long-term damage. It's fantastic for unique enemies and bosses as the fight drags on long enough for the stacking damage to actually matter. Still, the increased Critical Chance and Max Stamina make it worthwhile otherwise.

Look for this set in the Cloudrest Trial in Summerset, where it drops from monsters and bosses throughout.

3 The Stormfist Set - Light Armor, Medium Armor, Heavy Armor

The Stormfist set is a monster set that players can acquire through the Undaunted questline. This fantastic two-piece set that sharply increases DPS potential.

  • One piece equipped increases the Warden's Stamina Recovery by 129.
  • With both pieces equipped, the Warden gains a chance with each attack to create a Thunderfist. The Thunderfist deals damage over time and annihilates enemies for 9636 damage on ending. The best part is that it can proc every eight seconds.

The Thunderfist is a massive boost to damage, and the fact that it has a 10% chance to proc on every damaging attack the Warden makes it nigh-on game-breaking sometimes. While pulsing damage over time, it deals Shock Damage, which interestingly passes entirely through Spell Resistance.

The Helmet of the Stormfist armor set drops from the Veteran mode of Tempest Island. Meanwhile, the Shoulder piece can be acquired from Flirion the Redbeard's chest.

2 The Hollowfang Thirst Set - Light Armor, Jewelry, Weapons

The Hollowfang Thirst armor set is a Magicka-oriented set that is specifically useful for Support Wardens.

  • Two and four pieces equipped each provide the Warden with an additional 657 boost to Spell Critical.
  • Having three pieces equipped gives the player an additional 1096 Max Magicka.
  • With five pieces equipped the Warden will spawn Hemoglobin at the location of Critical Hits and Heals. These balls explode after a few seconds, restoring Magicka to nearby allies and increasing Healing Received by allies for 9 seconds.

The boost to Spell Critical goes a long way in increasing the Hollowfang Thirst armor set's chance to trigger, and the 8% increase to Healing Received helps in nailbiting encounters. The set is also useful for other Magicka-based Warden builds, though, who don't need to equip all five items to make use of the armor set's Spell Critical bonus.

Look for this set in the Moongrave Fane dungeon in Northern Elsweyr. It drops from the dungeon's various bosses and minibosses.

1 The Ring of the Pale Order - Unique Mythic Jewelry

The Ring of the Pale Order is a unique item because its armor set bonus only requires one piece, the ring itself. Nonetheless, it's a must-have for Wardens who want to take on Tamriel on their own.

  • The ring makes 20% of the Warden's damage return as healing.
  • This buff is reduced by 4% for each other member of the party.

This ring takes up a gear slot that could be used to further benefit from other armor sets; however, it's well worth building around for its unparalleled self-sustain. With this ring equipped, a Warden can spec into spells with more utility or damage than those that simply heal, increasing overall damage output.

The Ring of the Pale Order is a Mythic item that can only be found by completing one of five leads found in Bangkorai, Alik'r Desert, Wrothgar, Glenumbra, and Blackreach.
