Over the last decade, the anime industry has seen a massive increase in its fanbase. This has directly led to the increase in the production of anime. A vast number of manga have received anime adaptations, which gives the watchers a lot of variety to choose from.

However, many of the anime have been left with one season. For various reasons, some anime are left with just one season, which leaves the fans in agony as they wait for the official announcement regarding the renewal.
10 No Game No Life
No Game No Life is usually the first name that pops up in any list which covers the anime that only received one season. The first season of No Game No Life is absolutely immense and it's easy to see why the series has so many fans.
The series follows Sora and his younger stepsister Shiro. The siblings are challenged by the God of Games to chess and they end up as the victors. The siblings are then summoned to Disboard where every issue is resolved with games.
9 Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress
Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress was a major hit with the fans which lead to the series winning several awards. It was created by Wit Studio, which also worked on many famous projects that include, Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, and Seraph of the End.
The first season had twelve episodes. Since then, Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress has received three anime movies. Two of the movies cover the first and second half of the anime while the third one covers the events that take place after the events of the anime.
8 Hyouka
Hyouka is an anime series that is based on the novels by Honobu Yonezawa. The series received an anime adaptation that consisted of 22 episodes and one live-action movie. Hyouka follows Hotaru Oreki who joins the Literature Club at his school to prevent it from being closed down.

Despite its popularity, Hyouka never got another season, which is frankly a shame. It joins a growing list of anime that didn't get another season.
7 Yuri on Ice
The series became a huge hit with anime watchers as it induced a breath of fresh air as it was different from the typical shonen anime. Yuri on Ice's different style was welcomed by the anime watchers.
The first season of the anime racked up several awards; it won anime of the year at Crunchyroll's The Anime Awards. Yuri on Ice received a lot of praise from critics as well. However, the series never was never renewed for a second season.
6 Deadman Wonderland
Deadman Wonderland follows the story of Ganta Igarashi, who is one of the survivors of the catastrophic earthquake that almost destroyed the entire city of Tokyo. Ganta had no recollection of the events that took place during the earthquake but that all changes when he meets the "Red Man."
The plot of the series is enough to keep the watcher on their toes. The anime had 12 episodes and an OVA. The anime aired in 2011 and almost a decade later there is still no update regarding a possible second season.
5 Angel Beats
Not many anime come close to the quality of Angel Beats. The anime had just 13 episodes but all of them were filled with quality content. It covers several elements exquisitely, which made it a hit with the critics.

Most of the condemnation that Angel Beats received was due to its short runtime. The 13 episodes long season was not enough for many anime watchers. Angel Beats' only season was released in 2010 and since then there hasn't been any news of another season.
4 Pandora hearts
Pandora Hearts is a highly rated manga, which is written by Jun Mochizuki. It was adapted into an anime by Studio Xebec. The anime was released in 2009 and it had a total of 25 episodes.
The manga readers were dissatisfied with the first season of Pandora Hearts as it wasn't entirely true to the manga. There were rumors of a second season but they faded away over time.
3 Nichijou
Considered one of the best slice of life series of all time, Nichijou is a must-watch. It covers the daily lives of people living in a town where all sorts of eccentricities take place. The anime aired in 2011 and it had a total of 25 episodes.
To this day, Nichijou is popular within the anime community and many fans long for its return. Many petitions have been started in the hope that Nichijou will be picked up for a second season, but there has no success so far.
2 Beelzebub
Beelzebub is a sixty-episode anime series. It was animated by Pierrot+ and it ran from January 9, 2011, to March 25, 2012. Beelzebub is unique as it is among the few anime that breaks the fourth wall. It became immensely popular because it involved the audience.
The biggest downside of the anime is that it managed to catch up to the manga, which is never a good thing. This led to the studio creating an original ending, and because of this reason, there was never a second season.
1 Classroom Of The Elite
The final entry on the list Classroom of the Elite. It is based on a light novel series that has been written by Shōgo Kinugasa. In 2017, the light novels received an anime adaptation.
The series got an animated season that was 12 episodes long. Once the season finished, there were high expectations that the series would be renewed for another season, however, that never came to pass.
