Bows are Bard weapons in Final Fantasy XIV, with some truly awesome designs. Here are the best of them.

Bows are Bard weapons in Final Fantasy 14, and they are known to have some of the most attractive weapon designs out there. They are also quite diverse, ranging from sleek to enormous and dark to bright. After all, the Bard class is also one of the more fashionable next to Dancer and healers.

With each new update to the game, there will be more powerful bows. However, designs never change. There are bows that players love so much that they glamour every other bow they wield to look like it, no matter the level. These bows are desired purely for their looks, and they are not always easy to obtain.

Updated on July 22, 2021, by Allison Stalberg: Final Fantasy 14 is now more popular than ever. Little sprouts are pouring into the city-states of Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul’dah. There are particularly many pouring into Gridania, and that is because they took up the Archer class.

Archers eventually become Bards, and Bards have some beautiful bows out there to put on their glamour plates. Some are sought out because they have glow effects while others are desired for their unique designs. Just be aware that the better the bow design, the more likely it’ll be difficult to obtain.

15 Elfin Bow

This level 50 bow is a favorite for the adorable little flowers adorned on its upper limb as well as its adorably small size. In fact, many players who play lalafells have a preference for this bow due to its size.

The weapon can be traded for by a merchant in Revenants Toll. The player just needs three Rowena tokens. It is also possible to get this bow from an Item Level 90 Weapon Coffer.

14 Terpander Lux

This gorgeous bow is one of the hardest to get, as it is rewarded from completing last stage of the optional Anima Weapon questline. That means the player has a very long journey ahead of them to obtain this bow. A lot of players actually skip the questline because they think the amount of work involve is not worth a special weapon.

However, for the design alone, there are Bard players who find the Terpander Lux bow to be worth the time.

13 Senor Sabotender Longbow

For a bright and whimsical style, the Senor Sabotender Longbow is a great choice. It is decorated with a cactaur, stars, and gold with green hues. The best part is when the weapon is drawn though. The glow itself is nice, but the tip of arrows are adorably all star-shaped.

Getting this bow is not through any form of combat, but by trading 100,000 MGP to prize givers at the Golden Saucer. Players will need to get MGP through the buildings' many mini-games.

12 Augmented Ironworks Magitek Bow

This level 50 bow may not glow, but it certainly is eye-catching. It is obtainable by various means. One method is trading 600 Allagan Tomestones of Poetics to a Rowena Representative in one of the city-states or Mor Dhona. For those that only want to pay 100 Tomestones, they can trade with Drake in the North Shroud. However, they will also need to provide an Ironworks Magitek Bow.

Lastly, the bow can also be traded for five Silver Chocobo Feathers from a Calamity Salvager.

11 High Allagan Composite Bow

Some Bards prefer an intimating look rather than whimsy, and there are great bow designs for that as well. Between its glowing red colors and spikes, the High Allagan Composite Bow looks like it was made for the most epic of battles. The item can be wielded at level 50, however, it is received from one of the most difficult fights in the game: The Second Coil of Bahamut - Turn Four.

A second way to get this bow is to craft a replica by purchasing the recipe for Master Blacksmith IV. However, that might be just as difficult with the number of resources and Blacksmithing skills needed.

10 Garuda's Spine

Equipable at level 50, this bow is loot from The Howling Eye (Hard). Of course, there is about a one in 15 chance of it dropping, as there are other Garuda weapons as well. In other words, it may take many tries before this bow drops.

The incorporation of feathers is really what makes this bow stand out. It matches well with white outfits. There are also plenty of Bard hats that have a feather in them. Basically, this bow is for those looking for a white and wings aesthetic.

9 Shiva's Diamond Bow

Shiva is a level 50 boss that has a lot of beautiful weapon loot designs. They resemble ice crystals, but it takes a little extra work to add the pretty particle effects to the weapon. The bow in particular is a favorite among players, as it is quite dainty, slim, and has gorgeous coloration.

To get the bow, players must first get the True Ice Bow that is dropped from Shiva. Then they should beat Shiva enough times to collect five Diamond Dust. In Mor Dohna, players can trade the True Ice Bow and Diamond Dust and get the Diamond Bow.

8 Pyros Harp Bow

This bow is incredibly bold in its design, being part weapon and part musical instrument. It is a pretty incredible bow and has a relic-level rarity.

The bow is equipable at level 70 but can only be obtained through Eureka content. Not many Final Fantasy 14 players are big fans of Eureka. For those that do get into Eureka though, the bow is from Gerolt at The Forbidden Land, Eureka Pyros. It costs two elemental harp bows, 300 pyros crystals, and five Penthesilea's flames.

7 Midan Metal Bow

The Midan Bow may look simple in comparison to others, but it has one trait that many other weapons lack: it can be dyed. That means players can change the color of the bow to any other they want. Players also love the little glowing laps that sit on the bows' upper limb.

The bow is a possible drop in a difficult raid: Alexander - The Burden of the Son (Savage). In Idyllshire though, the bow an be purchased from the NPC, Sabina. The player needs to trade them  8 Midan Manifesto - Page 4 which is also dropped at Alexander - The Burden of the Son (Savage).

6 Mischievous Moggle Mogbow

Moogles are major Final Fantasy symbols, and that is not different in the MMO. This makes the Moogle-themed weapons always a popular choice. The Mogbow has an adorable Moogle sitting on the top and has pink music effects pop out when drawn for battle.

The bow is level 50 and can be crafted by a level 50 Carpenter. It is a high-level recipe though and requires a Kingly Whisker which is only dropped in Thornmarch (Extreme). However, this bow can also drop from that Duty.

5 Yoichi Zeta Bow

This level 50 bow is a Zodiac Weapon, which means it's a little like the level 50 version of Anima and Resistance Weapons. Its a little easier to get, but there is still a lot of work involved. This one is especially hard since it is the final form from the Zodiac Weapon Questline.

Fans love it as a statement piece, but it is also just pretty. The base bow is simple, thin, and elegant. The glowing effects adds a pleasant flare to it as well.

4 Bow Of The Heavens

Obtained in either Idylshire from Bertana or a Rowena Representative in Foundation, this level 60 bow is perfect for a sleek and clean glamour. Players love it for its sharp detailing and calming colors.

Of course, it is not free. Whichever trader that sells the bow will only give it for 10 Heavens' Ward Helm Fragments. Those can only be picked up by completing the Duty, The Minstrel's Ballad: Thordan's Reign, 10 times. It is not easy and will take a lot of practice just to beat the Duty once. However, there is always the option to go in unsynched to make it easier.

3 Endless Expanse Longbow

Equip-able at level 60, the Endless Expanse Longbow is actually easy to get as they are often available for sale on the Market Board. However, they are not cheap. The weapon is craft-able as a Carpenter class, though it requires a lot of resources and some of them are either very expensive or hard to obtain by gathering classes.

Players love this bow as it has bubble particle effects. No other weapon has particle effects like that. The bow is also adorned with feather designs, giving it an element of grace.

2 The King's Longbow

A level 80 weapon that has been highly sought by players are those dropped in Titania Extreme. Titania on normal is already a difficult boss, so beating her on Extreme takes patience, skill, and practice. Those who are victorious get a chance to have a desired weapon dropped. The bow is gorgeous, resembling Titania's fairy wings.

Titania Extreme is undertaken by parties that typically have a ton of practice and wish to grind the battle until they get their desired drops such as the dragon mount and various weapons.

1 Mighty Thunderdart

Like the Endless Expanse Longbow, this weapon is available for purchase on the Market Board. Since it is level 50 instead of 60, it tends to be a little cheaper as well. The bow can be crafted by a level 50 Carpenter class.

Many Bards enjoy this weapon for its purple coloring and unique arrow design. It is also slimmer than others.
