Xbox makes three games free to play for the weekend, with the selections including a popular shooter, a beat 'em up, and a recent sports game.

Xbox fans have had a lot to play this week, with Game Pass adding Battlefield 5 to its Cloud Gaming service, as well as Cris Tales, Last Stop, and Raji: An Ancient Epic. However, for those wanting a little something extra to dive into during their free time this weekend, Microsoft will be offering some extra titles via its weekly Free Play Days promotion.

The offer will last until Sunday, July 25, at 11:59 PM PT, and will allow Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to jump into any of the games listed. This week's batch is comprised of three games: Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, Battlefield 1, and Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 - The Official Video Game. Players will also be able to get their hands on some of the titles for cheaper if they enjoy their trial, with two of the three games seeing major price reductions on the Microsoft Store.

Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues is inspired by the Netflix show of the same name, seeing players choose between siding with former Karate Kid protagonist Daniel LaRusso and his students at Miyagi-Do Karate, or Johnny Lawrence and the Cobra Kai dojo. Along the way, they'll get to engage in arcadey beat 'em up action as they assume control of several Cobra Kai characters and fight waves of enemies. The game is currently 50% off and can be grabbed for $20.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 1 saw the Battlefield franchise venture to the harrowing conflicts of the First World War, offering players a fully-fledged campaign and large-scale online battles. It seems like the perfect time to hop back into the 2016 shooter considering the recent reveal of Battlefield 2042which will see players fight their way through futuristic warzones while utilizing new weapons and avoiding crazy weather effects. For those who find themselves enjoying Battlefield 1 this weekend, they can purchase its standard edition for 70% off, meaning it's only $6. If they want the "Revolution Edition," they can grab it for just $2 more, nabbing the game's four post-launch expansions in the process.

Finally, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is a particularly topical addition, with it actually celebrating the Olympic ceremony that began earlier today in Tokyo. The game allows players to enjoy several of the events on offer, including track, freestyle swimming, boxing, long jump, basketball, and many more. Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 only made its way outside of Japan a month ago, so it hasn't received a discount, remaining at its original retail price of $39.99.

The trio of titles can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store, where they'll remain free to play for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers until Sunday. Xbox Live Gold members can also still access the Free Games with Gold for the month, with the lineup including Rock of Ages 3: Make or Break, Midway Arcade Origins, and Planet Alpha.
