July 2021 has been huge for Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service with high profile new games added throughout the month. This week will see even more games added to Xbox Game Pass, including the long-awaited debut of Microsoft Flight Simulator's console version. But while Xbox Game Pass subscribers may be most-looking forward to brand new games that are coming to Game Pass, others may be excited to play some classics that have just been added to the lineup.
Two original Xbox games have been added to the Xbox Game Pass service as of July 26, and since they are both published by Microsoft, they will likely stay available to subscribers forever. The games in question are Blinx: The Time Sweeper and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, which released for the original Xbox in 2002 and 2004, respectively. The games are being added to Xbox Game Pass as a way to celebrate the original Xbox console's 20 year anniversary, and so hopefully even more OG Xbox games are coming to Game Pass in the near future.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the games, Blinx: The Time Sweeper is a 3D platformer about an anthropomorphic cat armed with a vacuum that can manipulate time. It's bizarre premise didn't stop Blinx: The Time Sweeper from generating a fanbase in its own right, selling enough copies to justify a sequel in Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space, though neither game earned high scores from critics.
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge is a different story, however, earning critical acclaim when it originally released in 2003. Critics were impressed by Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge's graphics and use of Xbox Live, which was a novelty at the time. The game has maintained a dedicate fanbase nearly two decades after its original release, with many Xbox fans still hoping to see a modern sequel.
The addition of Blinx: The Time Sweeper and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge will no doubt be appreciated by Xbox Game Pass subscribers who are looking for retro games to play. However, they aren't the only games coming to the service this week. As previously mentioned, the Xbox Series X version of Microsoft Flight Simulator is hitting Game Pass on July 27, and then cyberpunk co-op game The Ascent is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 29. Omno, a single-player adventure game, will also be releasing on Xbox Game Pass on July 29.
