The creativity and craftiness of Skyrim fans never cease to amaze, and now fans are treated to a gorgeous recreation of the Glass Dagger weapon.

There are many iconic weapons in Skyrim, and between the terrifying Mace of Molag Baal or the beauty of Dragonbone weapons, it can be easy to forget about some of the series staples. The Glass Dagger is a weapon that has been in The Elder Scrolls franchise since Morrowind, and although its design has changed significantly since then, it has always been a great weapon choice for players that prefer light weapons and a stealthy approach. Redditor Zepherniah shares their love for this classic weapon with a real life replica made through 3D printing and finished with resin.

The Glass Dagger is one of the strongest daggers in Skyrim, trailing behind Daedric, Dragonbone, and Unique Daggers. The replica below made by Zepherniah uses the design of the Glass Dagger from Skryim but borrows the brilliant green color from Oblivion. Fans in the comments seem very impressed by how the craft turned out.

Zepherniah explains the process in the header of the post but goes into more detail in response to one of the comments. The framework of the dagger was made using 3D printing, allowing them to create the look of a Glass Dagger from Skyrim. From there, the detail and color work was done using resin. According to Zepherinah, the two hilt pieces of the dagger take around 5 hours each to print, and they made molds for the glass parts. After being fitted into the mold, the resin takes around 48 hours to cure. The shiny green resin works wonders to replicate the glass color from the games.

Strangely, a large number of commenters seem to want to eat the dagger, no doubt thanks to its candy-like appearance. The top comment on the post at the time of writing says "Forbidden jelly dagger." Following this comment, many others come out and confirm that they think it looks edible in one way or another, with one even claiming it would probably be Green Apple flavored. Zepherniah has neither confirmed nor denied whether or not they used flavored resin, so this subset of fans are left to wonder about what the dagger would taste like. Everything was cake last year, so why can't this be candy?

Since the replica was shared, it has already garnered almost 4,000 upvotes as well as several awards. More amazing art like these can be found by scrolling through the Skyrim subreddit, as it seems the talent of fans never ends.

Skyrim is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
