The MP5K is one of the best defender weapons in all of Siege. These are the nicest skins you can equip top it, and how much they'll cost you.

Cosmetics and skins are a must to make any game in the shooter genre feel fresh, fun and tailored to the player. Sometimes, a killer weapon skin is enough to give players the confidence they need on the battlefield. While weapons skins are purely cosmetic and offer no tactical advantage, many are willing to spend in-game and real-life currency on game cosmetics. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege even has real-life cosmetics, such as this exclusive Rainbow Six Siege-themed Razer headset.

Rainbow Six Siege has a huge variety of in-game weapons and has recently gone free-to-play for a limited time. There are 100 different guns in the game. The game's newest character, Thunderbird, is sure to change up the meta. But the MP5K remains a useful SMG that's a shorter, more compressed version of the MP5 SMG. The MP5K is best for close-range combat and has a number of fabulous skin options for players to choose from.

10 Union Jack: Currently Unavailable

Perfect for Special Air Service (SAS) players or those who like a flag aesthetic, the Union Jack skin features prominent red and white stripes on a blue background in the style of the British flag. This skin was a part of the Britannia Bundle released in July of 2016. This skin's age makes it relatively retro and a clear mark of a veteran player.

The Britannia Bundle consists of the Union Jack skin, an Earl Grey teabag weapon charm and Union Jack-themed headwear for Mute. If players purchased the SAS Bundle, they would receive the Union Jack skin for all their weapons. In order to get the Union Jack skin, players would have to pay 3,740 Renown.

9 Engraved: 12,500 Renown

The Engraved skin is a neutral gray color with immense textural detail. This skin is subtle yet elegant and isn't flashy or over-the-top. It's perfect for camouflage and for players with great graphics who appreciate attention to detail. Nearly the entire weapon is engraved except for the magazine and the back of the stock. There's an intriguing sword design, as well as tiny crosses patterned throughout. This skin for the MP5K is a part of the Engraved Bundle.

This skin is currently available in the in-game Shop for the steep price of 12,500 Renown. Alternately, it can be unlocked with 300 R6 Credits.

8 Vaal: Currently Unavailable

The Vaal skin for the MP5K is bright orange, teal, red and black. It was released as a part of an SMG skin bundle called the Vaal Bundle back in September 2016. It's no longer available, but players were previously able to get this skin for 6,250 Renown or 150 R6 Credits.

This skin makes the weapon look like a confiscated gun, as it says "Defective" on the stock. With the black and white circles often used on test dummies, this weapon skin leans into the idea that the gun might have only been intended for testing purposes. And there's a lot of testing happening at Ubisoft. Rainbow Six Siege developers are currently working on adding cross-play and cross-progression to the game.

7 Orb Weaver: An MP5K Exclusive

The Orb Weaver skin for the MP5K is primarily white, black and red, but has a pale blue background that fades into the white. The design looks sleek enough to be on a snowboard, with a silhouette of a tree and butterflies flying around on the skin. This skin is perfect for minimalists and nature-lovers who want a clean-looking skin that has a bit of color.

This skin was released in 2016 as a part of the Tough Love Bundle. It's exclusive to the MP5 and MP5K weapons. It's no longer available, but players shelled out 3,750 Renown or 80 R6 Credits to obtain this exclusive skin.

6 Tally: An MP5K Exclusive

The Tally skin was an Epic-level skin exclusive to the MP5K only. It has a mix of Eastern and Western influences, featuring leather accents, a blue brocade-like pattern and hand-painted accents near the stock and magazine. Fans of Rainbow Six Siege either love or hate this skin. So while it's loved by plenty for its unique design and details, others have voiced confusion over its mixture of different elements. Either way, it's unique and a sure conversation starter.

The Tally skin for the MP5K cost 2,500 Renown to unlock, or 60 R6 Credits. It's no longer available.

5 Mute's Gift: An MP5K Exclusive

Mute's Gift was an exclusive skin for the MP5K in 2019 that players could unlock for free if they destroyed 20 attacker drones while defending. This skin has a metallic rose color with silver stars and Mute's face drawn in a cartoon style on the side. Unfortunately, this skin was only available for a limited time and cannot be purchased.

4 First Class Burglary: Crimson Heist Battle Pass

The First Class Burglary skin was a universal weapon skin available during the March-May 2021 Crimson Heist Battle Pass. This skin is sleek and minimalist, with gold plating, a white body and black accents. The iconic spade design looks particularly good on the MP5K, and there isn't too much metallic gold on this variation of the skin. First Class Burglary was unlocked upon reaching Tier 100, and required the Premium Battle Pass to be purchased. The Premium Battle Pass cost $9.99, or 1,200 R6 Credits.

The Crimson Heist Battle Pass came with plenty of new content besides this skin. It also came with the release of the new operator Flores and a story trailer that launched a week before the season started.

3 White Dragon: Lunar Sale

The White Dragons skin was a seasonal Epic-level skin released in 2017. The design was inspired by Operation Blood Orchid and the Theme Park Map. According to Ubisoft, the White Dragon skin is a reference to Hong Kong and is intended to represent strength and good fortune. It looks incredible on the MP5K. This skin has a white-out aesthetic with royal blue accents and a beautiful dragon design at its center.

This skin was brought back in February 2021 temporarily as a part of a Lunar sale with the Dynasty skin and the Red Silk skin. While other games released new skins for Lunar New Year, Rainbow Six Siege chose to bring back beloved fan favorites for a limited time. The White Dragon skin had to be purchased in a bundle for 27,000 Renown or 648 R6 Credits. The White Dragon skin is no longer in the in-game store.

2 Waffle Cone: Currently Unavailable

The delicious Waffle Cone skin for the MP5K was a part of the Sweets Bundle. This bundle was seasonal and offered the Waffle Cone skin for many different guns. It made each gun look like it was made of chocolate and ice cream, complete with sprinkles and a waffle cone pattern near the stock of each gun. This bundle cost 24,750 Renown or 594 R6 Credits.

Unfortunately, this bundle is no longer available to unlock, but hopefully Rainbow Six Siege will release some candy-themed skins again in the future to satisfy players with a sweet tooth.

1 Ectoplasm: 2018 Halloween Event Packs

The Ectoplasm skin was a Rare-level universal weapon skin released during the 2018 Halloween event. It has a purple, green and blue color scheme and a smudged paint drip pattern. It looks like a bunch of paintballs exploded on this skin, in a really good way. The design feels unique and the skin looks great on the MP5K.

The Ectoplasm skin was unlockable via purchasing Crimsonveil Packs, so the number of packs a player would have to buy in order to unlock this skin varies.
