Genshin Impact's 2.0 update added a number of hidden achievements to developer miHoYo's extremely-popular RPG, including one that is called A Hollow Soul. In order to obtain this achievement, players must ultimately find Washizu's lost possessions in Higi Village and complete the Sinister Instruction world quest. However, Genshin Impact fans will need to do a bit of work before they are even able to obtain that quest, and this guide has full details on the process.

The first thing to mention is that players will need to pursue this achievement over four daily resets. Indeed, it is impossible to obtain the Hollow Soul achievement in a single sitting because there is something that must be done on four different days. Specifically, players need to interact with the Outsider Shrine that is located just south of Serpent's Head on each of those days, and the video that is below showcases the Shrine's exact position.

It is also worth noting that Genshin Impact fans technically need to interact with the Outsider Shrine three times every day, and it will become inactive until the next daily reset when that has been done. Furthermore, each individual interaction will cause a purple orb to appear in front of the structure, and fans will know that their work for the day is complete when three of them have materialized. At that point, players may want to have a brief chat with Washizu, as his dialogue changes slightly everyday.

On the fourth day of visiting the shrine, players will get a bit of a surprise, as Washizu will become aggressive and attack them. This attack will trigger the start of the Sinister Instruction world quest, and indeed the first objective is to defeat the maddened samurai. After dispatching this foe, players will receive an Incomplete Note and a Tattered Paper as well as the aforementioned instruction to visit Higi Village in search of the samurai's possessions.

For this final step, fans should head to the southeast corner of the marked area in Higi Village and make their way behind the home that they find there. Players should then position themselves between the two torches in this alcove and press the input that appears onscreen to "Dig." This action will cause an Exquisite Chest to spawn, and looting it will cause the Sinister Information quest to be marked as complete and the Hollow Soul hidden achievement in Genshin Impact to be awarded.
