Life is Strange: True Colors gets a brand new trailer showing off Haven Springs and what players can get up to in the small town.

Bringing the franchise back with a new set of characters and conflicts, Life is Strange: True Colors is primed for launch later this year, arriving on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia on September 10. While players wait, developer Deck Nine has released a new look at the game to tide them over, offering a trailer dedicated to the sequel's setting, Haven Springs.

The locale will be the center of protagonist Alex's story, as she attempts to discover the cause behind her brother's mysterious death. The new Life is Strange: True Colors footage confirms it will act as a backdrop to plenty of other storylines and side activities too, including potential romances and various mini-games.

The entire trailer is narrated by Steph Gingrich, a returning character from Life is Strange: Before the Storm who appears to be one of Alex's closest allies in True Colors. The character introduces players to several of the areas they're set to visit during the game, specifically highlighting the Black Lantern bar. The location is allegedly filled with eccentric locals for Alex to chat with and activities for her to enjoy, including arcade games where she can compete for high scores. Alex can even play games of foosball against Steph or tune into Haven Springs' exclusive radio station, KRCT 104.3.

Steph also discusses an event known as the Haven Spring Festival. It seems players will get to take part in the celebration during the events of True Colors, listening to live music and hanging out with Haven Spring's locals beside the town's lake. Alex can even forge a potential romance during the festival, with the trailer teasing she can offer a rose to either Steph or fellow supporting character Ryan.

Life is Strange: True Colors will be the third game in the Life is Strange series and the first to not be developed by the original creators over at Dontnod Entertainment. However, that's not to say Deck Nine has no experience with the property, with the team working on Life is Strange: Before the Storm back in 2017.

The game will follow Alex's move to the small town of Haven Springs in Colorado, where she must utilize her supernatural ability to read the emotions of others to uncover what happened to her brother. As expected for a Life is Strange game, there's sure to be plenty of twists and turns as well as tough moral choices. For the first time ever, the entire game will launch as a single release, with the series ditching its episodic format.

Life is Strange: True Colors will launch on September 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
