Call of Duty: Warzone is quickly approaching the release of Season 5, with the next content drop set to come sometime next week. Thanks to a new leak, Call of Duty: Warzone fans have a good idea of what to expect from this upcoming Season.
For starters, Call of Duty: Warzone fans can expect to control the Operator Kitsune. Mentioned by a user named Nanikos in a post on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, this Operator is likely the person who Wraith was talking to in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 4 outro. While it is always wise to take leaks with a grain of salt, this one seems particularly credible, as Nanikos has provided some leaked key art for the character. Alongside some purple text for Season 5, Kitsune herself is depicted clearly in the promotional material.

Kitsune breaks the trend of masked Operators that have been seen in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Seasons thus far. Stitch, Naga, Wraith, and Jackal have all donned masks, but Kitsune seems unafraid to show her face. She does wear an eyepatch, however, something that makes her a bit similar to fellow Operator Weaver. Alongside a unique hairstyle with red highlights, the Operator posts a kneepad and armband with Japanese writing displayed. Her arms are also covered in tattoos, giving her a distinct look when compared to the other members of Perseus.
While this new villain’s Japanese heritage is made obvious in her character design, it seems like that will extend to the Season 5 battle pass as well. Nanikos has confirmed that the content of the pass will be “Japanese themed,” so players can expect some neat blueprints and weapon charms. Two more Operators are also mentioned in the leak, with Call of Duty: Warzone players able to anticipate some characters named Kingsley and Surge in the Marketplace — though the leaker does reiterate that these may be codenames. A final thing players should be aware of is one of the new weapons coming in Season 5.
As shown in the Kitsune key art, the Tec-9 will be coming to the game, and it will be interesting to see how it compares to the AMP63 Machine Pistol that was added a while back. This will be the first time the gun has appeared in the Call of Duty franchise, too. The rest of the leak pertains to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and it suggests that the classic map Summit is coming to multiplayer. A new Outbreak region called Weather Station will also be added.
With some numbers showcased in the Kitsune art, the brainwashing of Adler might be coming back into focus during Season 5. For now, though, Call of Duty: Warzone fans will have to remain patient until more is officially revealed.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
