Legend of Zelda fans have finally seen a long-lost title get a re-release on the Nintendo Switch with Skyward Sword HD, just in time for Zelda's 35th anniversary. While the series has plenty of things to look back on and cherish to celebrate the last 35 years, two fans honored the series, as well as their relationship, with a Legend of Zelda-themed wedding with Easter Eggs aplenty.
The story of Link and Zelda began in Skyward Sword, leading to them and the villain Ganondorf being reincarnated across many lives and timelines. The three are tied together with the Triforce, and hold special bonds between them due to it. Their connections were honored at the wedding with the bride and groom cosplaying Zelda and Link respectively, with their officiator dressed as Ganondorf.

They weren't the only ones dressed up, though. The groomsmen are fittingly also Link, as they're dressed in the red, blue, and purple tunics from Four Swords Adventure. The bridesmaids were also wearing dresses themed after the three golden goddesses based on Wind Waker's designs. The photos showcase the group of friends having fun taking pictures based on their outfits, such as one of the four Links playfully saving Zelda from Ganondorf.
More pictures showcase things like their wedding cakes and the guestbook, which were also Zelda-themed. The guestbook involved guests writing their name on a wooden Rupee shape, and placing it inside a triangle-shaped display called "the Triforce" to go along with the theme. Zelda wasn't the only series shown love, however, as the groom has his own cake with Aperture logos alongside a companion cube cake topper, all from Portal.
The bride shares even more details on their wedding in the comments of her post on Reddit, and it's very easy to tell that a lot of thought and detail went into it. The title states that this wedding was a dream of theirs, and that's only made even more clear from just how wonderful and heartfelt all of the pictures look.
One of the best parts about the wedding arrangements, though, is that they enlisted the help of other fans as well. At least some of the costumes were made by a seller on Etsy via a commission, for instance. It definitely looks like a great celebration of all things Legend of Zelda with their friends, which is wonderful to see in the face of Nintendo having no plans for Zelda's 35th anniversary itself.
