New Pokemon Snap players now have access to three new locations with 20 new Pokemon to snap photos of; here's where to find Gyarados.

New Pokemon Snap may have been released earlier this year, but, thankfully, there's some new free content for fans to sink their teeth into. The latest New Pokemon Snap DLC adds several new quality-of-life features to the photography game, but the most important part of the patch are the new locations. Players can now travel to the Secret Side Path, Mightywide River, and the Barren Badlands to find dozens of new Pokemon, including the Water/Flying-type creature, Gyarados.

By using this handy guide, New Pokemon Snap players can find Gyarados so that they can snap a 5-star picture of it for their photo records.

To find the powerful evolution of Magikarp, New Pokemon Snap fans will need to head to the new Mightywide River area. This is where Gyarados can be found. However, players will need to increase their research level to level 3 in order to find the Pokemon. There have been some players finding the Pokemon without reaching level 3, but getting to that level will guarantee that players can encounter it.

Once players eventually reach a section of the stage that has an Ursaring sleeping on a branch and Magikarp swimming around near it, they will need to interact with the waterfall. Throw some Illumina Orbs into the waterfall until it starts to glow orange. Once that's done, a Gyarados will swim out of it, but players will still need to complete more steps before snapping a good photo of it.

Players will pass by a flying group of Beautifly and will then fall down a small waterfall. Quickly hit the flower near the Toucannon with an Illumina Orb to activate it. After that, players will quickly fall down another waterfall. Once they do, players should face the waterfall to see a swimming Quagsire.

Shortly after, the Gyarados will jump out from the waterfall and will land right in front of the player's path, allowing them to take tons of photos of the Pokemon before they leave the stage. If players get the perfect New Pokemon Snap photo, they should be able to get a 5-star rating from Professor Mirror.

If players miss one of the flowers, they can restart the stage and try to complete the tasks again.

New Pokemon Snap is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
