While the main highlight of Genshin Impact's 2.0 update may have been the addition of the Inazuma region to the game, many fans may also be excited to know that the title now supports cross-save between all devices. Previously, this feature was only available between PC and Mobile platforms, but with the recent update, PS4/PS5 users can now freely transfer their progress between devices with only a few simple steps.
Before outlining the steps required to link accounts there are two important points to be aware of that may cause issues for some players. The first is that PS4/PS5 players will be unable to link their account to an email that is already been registered to a miHoYo account on PC. Similarly, PC/Mobile players will be unable to link to a PSN account that has already been used to log in to Genshin Impact.

To start the process of linking a PS4/PS5 account to PC/Mobile, players must first log in to the game and access the settings from the in-game menu.
From the settings menu, select the Account option and then select "User Center."
When players select "User Center" it will open up an in-game web browser with an option to link accounts.
After selecting "Link Account" players must enter an email address that will be used to log in to Genshin Impact on PC/MOBILE. As previously mentioned, the email address that players enter cannot already be associated with a miHoYo account on PC.
Once players successfully link their account, they will now be able to log in to Genshin Impact on PC using the email address they just registered and can now utilize the cross-save feature.
To link a PC/Mobile account to PS4/PS5 players must first install Genshin Impact on their console.
After opening the game, one of the first options players will be given will be to "Link miHoYo (email)"
Select this option and enter the email address associated with the PC/Mobile Account
After entering in the verification code, account progress should be transferred.
Players should be aware that any Genesis Crystals that are purchased on either PC/MOBILE or PS4/PS5 are not transferrable between platforms. As a result, if players have purchased a set amount of Genesis Crystals on PS4/PS5, they will not appear when players log in on PC/Mobile.
While this may be a small inconvenience, it is an extremely common practice for Gacha games that support cross-platform saving. As a result, players should convert their Genesis Crystals to Primogems or Wishes which will appear between platforms.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
