Walmart is restocking its supplies of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, with both systems going on sale again later today.

Both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have been out for nearly a year now, yet it's still just as difficult as ever for one to actually get their hands on either console. One of the most common ways fans have been trying to buy PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles is through Walmart restocks, which happen periodically and give customers the chance to purchase the next-generation consoles online.

The next Walmart PS5 and Xbox Series X restock is happening later today, August 5, at 12pm PT. For PlayStation, customers will be able to choose from both the standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive as well as the PS5 Digital Edition console. It doesn't seem as though the Xbox Series S console is part of this latest restock, but it's possible that could change once 12pm PT rolls around. In the meantime, all fans can count on is the Xbox Series X restock.

Those interested in the PS5 Disc Edition console can click here, while those who want the Digital Edition should click here. Anyone that's in the market for an Xbox Series X console can click here. Remember that it's always possible that 12pm PT will roll around and the consoles will go out of stock immediately or the start time will get pushed back by a few minutes, which is a common occurrence with these Walmart restocks.

When it comes to the PlayStation 5, there may be those who aren't aware of the differences between the two consoles. A standard PS5 and a PS5 Digital Edition are effectively the same machine power-wise, with the only difference being that the standard PS5 has a disc drive and the Digital Edition does not. While this may be inconvenient for those that prefer physical media or who already have a sizable collection of physical PS4 games, others can jump on the Digital Edition to save $100, as it retails for $399 versus the $499 price of the regular PS5.

At this point, it's safe to say that there are some people who have likely given up on trying to get themselves a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console, and may just be waiting for them to be more readily available. Unfortunately, it seems the PS5 and Xbox Series X supply shortages will continue until 2023, so some fans may be waiting a very long time to get one or both of the next-generation systems.

Fans can keep trying to get lucky with these PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks, and they can also try other things like the PlayStation Direct service or signing up for a GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro membership to make getting a new console a little easier.
