Since Fortnite launched in 2017, it has told dozens of stories as part of its seasonal content and weekly live service content. Whether it was Fortnite's legendary meteorite arriving in Season 3, Marvel's invasion in Season 4 of Chapter 2, or the arrival of the age of piracy in Season 8, something is always happening. But one of the most oft-cited examples of Fortnite's best storytelling is the multi-season adventure involving Kevin the Cube. Epic Games might agree, as it continues to tease Frank's return.
The latest tease for Kevin the Cube's return in Fortnite isn't found in-game this time, however. Instead, one of Epic Games' inside men appears to be leaking info. The latest info comes from none other than Donald Mustard, Epic Games' CCO. Mustard has a somewhat cryptic mess to share with his Twitter followers. The message reads, "They see me rollin' pt 2." The message seemingly referring to Kevin the Cube's season-long journey rolling across Fortnite's map in Season 5.

Fans are leaping to the conclusion that Mustard's message implies that Kevin the Cube will soon return to once again flip and flop, rolling across the map. It would be a "part two" to Season 5's part one. Of course, Mustard could be referring to something else, offering up a red herring instead of a genuine clue.
Fortnite is currently approaching its next seasonal shift, with Chapter 2 Season 8 expected to release in mid-September. There's no specific evidence that Kevin the Cube will be returning with the next Fortnite season. If anything, the game's current odd alien storyline would imply a different direction entirely. But Fortnite finds ways to do creative story twists and turns with ease and revisiting ideas in a fun new way is common. Not to mention, Epic's already written the code for a rolling cube, so why not use it again?
There has been one other clue regarding Kevin the Cube's return to Fortnite recently. During Fortnite's incredibly successful Ariana Grande concert, there's a brief look into a portal showing a very large version of Kevin the Cube in an unfamiliar location. Perhaps it's a look into Fortnite's future. Epic doesn't tend to share such teasers lightly.
If Kevin the Cube is returning to Fortnite, players can expect more concrete evidence of such in the relatively near future. Fortnite leakers are already champing at the bit in search of Kevin clues found within Fortnite's files. It seems like just a matter of time before Kevin's second journey through Fortnite is confirmed.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
