There are a total of three black birds in Chapter 1. New players should keep in mind a few things to know before starting NieR Reincarnation, such as the possibility of rerolling the initial gacha summons. Gamers should consider any beginner tips before investing too much time in story progression or hunting for black birds.
Players will come across their first black bird after the first scarecrow in the chapter. It will be perched near a bridge, but players won't have to look too hard for it. Approaching this black bird triggers the tutorial on tapping these ominous creatures, so it's nearly impossible to miss out on this one. Tapping it will earn the player XL Character Enhancement x3.
The next black bird will be found after the second scarecrow. Players will enter a room with a huge spiral staircase that they must ascend. While climbing, a number of pillars will pass by in the foreground. Black bird #2 will be seen perched on the third pillar. Tapping this bird awards a Premium Summon Ticket that veterans of other games with gacha mechanics will recognize as being very valuable.
The final black bird of the chapter comes after the third scarecrow. This one will be very difficult to spot, but players with a keen eye will see it far below their position as they come up the second flight of stairs following the most recent scarecrow. The reward for tapping this one is XL Weapon Enhancement x3.
Players who have just begun their journey into The Cage will need as many resources as possible. Luckily, the black birds in every chapter offer a few items that will help gamers on their way. When items and money start to run dry, fans will have to resort to some hardcore gold farming in NieR Reincarnation. Those who spend their time strengthening characters will have no problem conquering story chapters and side quests that will be released in the future.
