Cinderace can be a formidable Attacker if players put together a solid build. Those wishing to do so should focus on maximizing damage and scoring.

Offensive characters in MOBA games need to stand out in some way from one another so that the roster feels varied and balanced. With its time-tested pocket monsters, Pokemon Unite had an easy time with this thanks to the typings and evolutionary lines defined in the main series of Pokemon games.

One of the newer starter pokemon to make an appearance in the roster is the sport-loving rabbit pokemon Cinderace, who can take to the battlefield and become a formidable Attacker for their team. There are 2 builds that players can put together, with a bit of variation depending on preference, to optimize their scoring and takedown potential when playing as this fast Fire-type pokemon.

  • Blaze Kick
  • Feint
  • Float Stone (Held Item)
  • Muscle Band (Held Item)
  • Score Shield (Held Item)
  • Eject Button (Battle Item)

Cinderace is an Attacker that starts off kind of slow but can quickly turn into a beast of the battlefield since it can learn its final moves in a span of 2 crucial levels: firstly, at level 7, players can swap out Ember for Blaze Kick, and, at level 8, will be able to trade Low Sweep for Feint.

Blaze Kick offers a guaranteed hit on a single target within the player's range, though, there's more to this melee attack than simply being an accurate strike. Blaze Kick will always be a critical hit, meaning that it is a very reliable way of dealing decent damage in a single attack. In addition, after this move connects, Cinderace leaps back to avoid potential counterattacks from melee opponents in a convenient attack exit. What makes this move suitable for this build is that, while performing Blaze Kick, the player is immune to hindrances, as can be noted from the "Unstoppable" icon that briefly appears over Cinderace during the animation of this flaming assault.

Players will need to rely on Blaze Kick for their biggest hits, as Feint is a move that is meant to be used purely defensively. When used, Feint will make Cinderance "Invincible" for a moment, meaning that in that fraction of a second, nothing can harm or hit the player. This can be extremely effective when trying to negate damage from an incoming enemy move, even one of the powerful Unite Moves, however, since its duration is very short, timing it effectively can be difficult and will take some practice as well as some understanding of the moves belonging to one's opponents. Feint can also be used right before trying to score a quick goal to prevent enemies from blocking one's shot.

  • Pyro Ball
  • Flame Charge
  • Float Stone (Held Item)
  • Muscle Band (Held Item)
  • Scope Lens (Held Item)
  • X Attack (Battle Item)

At level 7, players can switch Ember for Pyro Ball while at level 8, they can swap Low Sweep for Flame Charge. As these two moves are both damage-dealing, players can hurt foes a lot more with this build, and, importantly, can combo them together for greater effects.

Pyro Ball is arguably Cinderace's best move, as it is the only ranged move that deals damage, which fits the best with this pokemon's Unite classification as a Ranged Attacker. In addition to launching a huge fireball at foes that does great damage, the flames of Pyro Ball will burn those struck for a few seconds after the scorching orb dissipates. It is also worth noting that using this move reduces the cooldown of Flame Charge (or Feint if one has learned that instead of Flame Charge).

The cooldown reduction of Flame Charge granted by using Pyro Ball means that it would be ideal to use Flame Charge to enter combat, unleash Pyro Ball at fairly close range, and then use Flame Charge again to hit foes once more, though, this time to exit combat briefly so that one's moves can cool down. This is one of the best tactics for making use of this build optimally as it allows one to hit foes with a lot of damage in a short time while also making it difficult for them to land a strike on Cinderace.

This mighty move is pretty easy to use, and players should unleash Blazing Bicycle Kick in a very similar manner to how they would use Pyro Ball, as it is basically a stronger version of this regular move, though will also raise Cinderace's movement speed temporarily.

Blaze is an excellent ability that essentially grants the player bonus damage on top of many of their more common ways of hurting foes. In addition to turning basic attacks into boosted attacks every time that Cinderace uses a move, Blaze also applies special tokens called Cinders to targets hit by one's attacks that will passively take a chunk of health out of an adversary's HP bar if enough Cinders are applied (3 Cinders are needed for the effect to activate).
