A Grand Theft Auto fan creates their own version of what the Grand Theft Auto 6 box art could look like when the game comes to PS5.

It's been nearly 10 years since Grand Theft Auto 5 first launched, but it doesn't really seem like fans are any closer to learning about Grand Theft Auto 6. As it stands, Rockstar Games is currently focused on porting Grand Theft Auto 5 and its GTA Online multiplayer experience to next-generation consoles, with reports indicating that the GTA 6 release date is still likely years away.

With no fresh Grand Theft Auto 6 news in sight, fans have taken to entertaining to themselves by creating fanart. Reddit user zallow is one such fan, having created their own take on what the Grand Theft Auto 6 box art might look like when it eventually releases on PlayStation 5. It could honestly be passed off as the real deal, with great attention to detail, including a helicopter in the upper left-hand corner of the box art like has been featured on Grand Theft Auto box art since GTA 3 launched in 2001.

This fan-made Grand Theft Auto 6 box art uses a lot of purple and colors that seemingly reflect the rumored Vice City setting. The art leans heavily into the Vice City setting rumors with its Roman numeral VI, showing palm trees and a beach that certainly wouldn't look out of place in Miami-inspired setting.

For the uninitiated, rumors have persisted for years that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be returning to the Miami-inspired Vice City setting. This has been backed up by reputable leaker Tom Henderson, who has added on to the Grand Theft Auto 6 rumor mill with tidbits of their own that could give fans an idea of what they may be able to expect from the game whenever Rockstar decides to announce it.

Henderson has hinted that Grand Theft Auto 6 will have two protagonists - one male, one female. Furthermore, he's teased that the game will feature jetpacks, which were last prominently featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the PlayStation 2. Whether or not there's any truth to these rumors remains to be seen, and unfortunately, fans will likely have to wait some time before they'll get concrete answers.

As previously mentioned, Rockstar is busying working on the Grand Theft Auto 5 next-gen port, and leakers have stressed that the GTA 6 release date is still years away. With the game itself not launching for years, it wouldn't make sense for Rockstar to announce it so far in advance, so fans shouldn't hold their breath for any concrete GTA 6 news updates anytime in the near future.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to be in development.
