If there's one thing that can be said of Red Dead Redemption 2, it's that the game is rife with hidden gameplay details. Simply by experimenting with different elements presented in the open world, players can accomplish a lot during any given playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2. Though, one user managed to find a hidden feature that can be used in case the player is stranded in the middle of the wilderness.
One of the many staple game mechanics of Red Dead Redemption 2 are horses, seeing as they are one of the most efficient forms of transport within the game. Although, under certain circumstances, the player can wind up without a horse. In fact, one player went on a killing spree to avenge their dead horse. Luckily, should the player be lost in the wilderness without a horse, there's a decently simple solution.

A Reddit user by the name of Shot-Skirt-2598 discovered that the player can request a ride from caravan drivers or random travelers that populate the various roads and trails. This is a rather unexpected feature that not many players would likely think to do. Most would probably just steal a horse or reload a save. Although, this feature really does add to the level of realism that Red Dead Redemption 2 is looking to promote.
The player can do a number of things within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 and much like requesting a ride into town from a stranger, the world can respond to the player's actions in a variety of unique and exciting ways. For instance, some players might not know this, but there are fake beggars in Red Dead Redemption 2 that trick people into giving them money and can be found in various towns and cities.
In any case, it's amazing to see what players can accomplish within the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 and also how extensive the game is. It's been nearly three years since the game's initial release and yet, players are still managing to find many hidden details scattered throughout the main story. Given how expansive Red Dead Online has become in recent years, it's impressive that the story campaign is still managing to surprise players so long after the game's release.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Red Dead Redemption. Many fans are looking forward to the release of Red Dead Redemption 3, but sadly, even if Red Dead Redemption 3 was confirmed to be in development, it will likely be some time before it releases, considering that it took Rockstar Games over eight years to release the sequel to the original Red Dead Redemption.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
