Assassin builds in Skyrim Special Edition are among the most popular playstyles for the game. They are based on the concept of stealth and dealing considerable amounts of damage from the shadows. Players have the opportunity to join the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, a dedicated faction for Assassins. By playing through the faction's questline, players can get the Ancient Shrouded Armor set that comes with powerful enchantments geared to their playstyle.

But that can take a while and players need to have leveled up a bit before they can do so. However, due to an exploit Skyrim Special Edition players can get the Ancient Shrouded Armor set at level one. To make sure it works properly, players must ensure that they do not have the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch disabled.
7 Acquire Starting Gear
Although the main goal of the exploit is to get an armor set, players will still need to acquire some gear to protect them along the journey. They can do so by first looting everything in Helgen when the game begins, selling it all to Alvor in Riverwood, and using the gold to buy some weapons and armor.
Players may also take an extra set for a follower. Players need to make sure they have some gold left by the end of it to get themselves a carriage ride. Once they have the items that they need, players must make their way to The Bannered Mare inn in Whiterun.
6 Acquire A Follower
Players will be going through several challenging areas to get to the armor. Since they are level one, taking on these enemies is not advisable. A follower that can tank all that damage is therefore necessary, and Uthgerd The Unbroken is a decent option.
Uthgerd must first be defeated in a fistfight which can be done without much difficulty. Afterward, she can be recruited and will give players some gold for winning the fight. This gold can be used to get some potions for the journey ahead.
5 Go To The Ritual Stone
To get this exploit to work, players need a power that they get from The Ritual Stone. This Standing Stone is found East of the city of Whiterun. Once players arrive, they'll have to dispatch the necromancer present at the location quickly. The necromancer is easy to take care of but players need to be quick as the enemy can raise skeletons nearby.

Once the necromancer is dead, players must approach the Standing Stone, interact with it, and acquire its power. Afterward, they must return to the city of Whiterun and hire a carriage to Solitude. The driver will charge a small amount of gold for the journey.
4 Clear Deepwood Redoubt
Once in Solitude, players must now make their way west to the Hag's End dungeon. Entry to Hag's End is gained by going through Deepwood Redoubt. There are a few Forsworn enemies outside that need to be dealt with. Players can take them out one by one using a bow while they are sneaking for extra damage, or if they prefer a more direct approach, charging at them alongside their follower.
The mage can cause a bit of trouble so players must take him out first. Afterward, the cave can be freely entered. There will be several Forsworn enemies inside and it is recommended to assassinate them using a bow while sneaking. However, players can use their followers to tank damage, while they deal with the enemies. It's important to loot all enemies as one of the Forsworn units will have a key.
3 Gain Entry To Hag's End
Once players have cleared Deepwood Redoubt, they will get to Deepwood Vale. The area is crawling with Forsworn units. Players can attempt to fight through them. However, it is possible to simply sneak past them to get to Hag's End. Players can also simply sprint past all enemies present at the location, but they risk getting hit in the process.
It is recommended to save the game regularly in this area as the Deepwood Vale is difficult to get through. Game difficulty can also be turned down to make matters easy. Once the area is cleared, players will have to enter Hag's End where they will find powerful hostile mages. They deal a lot of damage, but they are easily defeated as they are unarmored.
2 Clear Hag's End Dungeon
Players will find a Hagraven enemy when they enter the dungeon alongside two mage enemies. The mages are easy to take care of, but the Hagraven may pose a significant challenge. It is easier to snipe her with a bow in sneak mode.

In fact, it only requires a few shots with a bow in sneak mode to kill her. Once these enemies are taken care of, players must proceed deeper inside the dungeon until they come across a throne room of sorts with another Hagraven. Clear the room of enemies and then approach the wall behind the throne.
1 Use The Ritual Stone Power
There's a stone door behind the throne which is opened during the Dark Brotherhood questline. The Ancient Shrouded Armor set is found behind the door. Players must situate themselves as close to the stone door as possible and activate the Ritual Stone power. The power has a wide area of effect and almost all of the enemies that have been slain in the dungeon will be resurrected.
Players must now race back to the entrance and exit the dungeon. They must do so quickly because otherwise, the exploit may not work. Once they leave, all of the resurrected NPCs will accompany the players outside including the one that wears the Ancient Shrouded Armor. Players can simply kill this NPC and loot the body for the armor.
