With optimal armor pieces, Exotics, mods, and weapons always changing in Destiny 2, every Season further changes the way the game is played. This is especially true for PvE because of Champion mods, as there are only a handful of weapons in the game that have built-in anti-Champion rounds to deal with them regardless of which mods a player has. Season of the Splicer is almost over now, but there is just over a week to farm for weapons that will work wonders with the Champion mods introduced in Season 15.
Destiny 2's Season 15 will feature three Unstoppable mods, two Overload mods, and likely a single Anti-Barrier mod. The Unstoppable ones include fusion and linear fusion rifles, sidearms, and pulse rifles; the Overload mods are for bows and swords, with the second being unconfirmed for now; and the Anti-Barrier mod is for auto rifles. This means there will be several good weapons to use next Season that were overlooked in the current one because of how different the meta was, and now is a great time to farm those guns.

Null Composure is similar to Salvager's Salvo in the sense that both weapons come from their own quests, and they are great at dealing with multiple enemies at once. Null Composure is a Void fusion rifle packed with two perks in both the third and fourth slot, and it will likely see lots of use due to the Unstoppable mod associated with its archetype. It comes from the A Sacred Fusion quest, found at Banshee-44's. Plug One.1, on the other hand, is capable of doing pretty much what Null Composure does, but it comes from Nightfall strikes and with random rolls. It is also an Arc weapon, which is good to have as an alternative to Null Composure that can top it as a DPS option.
This linear fusion rifle is especially useful for two reasons. The first is that it comes with a good selection of perks, unlike many other guns of its kind, and the second is that it belongs to the power slot. This is nothing to scoff at because it can be used to have more options for the loadout, and it can provide full coverage in terms of anti-Champion guns if an Exotic with built-in stun rounds is used as extra support.
Arbalest is a kinetic linear fusion rifle that's incredibly strong at dealing with shields of all elements, including those with the Match Game modifier. Then, there are three very strong fusion rifles coming with Solar energy, and those are Jotunn, One Thousand Voices, and Vex Mythoclast.
While the latter is not the best at the moment, it will get buffs in Season 15. Then, there is the evergreen Telesto, which will likely break the game in some way again next Season as a Void alternative to the aforementioned fusion rifles. Sleeper Simulant is also going to see much more use in Season 15, and it falls in the power slot.
These kinetic bows offer a lot of great perks they can roll with, and they are fairly easy to obtain compared to other weapons. The reason why these are going to be very useful lies in the Overload mod for bows, as this is the weapon archetype that most reliably stuns Overload Champions. Plus, the kinetic slot can help build the loadout in different ways to optimize damage or interactions based on Exotics and mods.
These bows are great Legendary energy choices to stun Overload Champions, with Imperial Needle coming from Battlegrounds and Arsenic Bite-4b being in the world loot pool. The former is a Void bow that can roll with great perks like Killing Wind and Archer's Tempo in the third column, and Swashbuckler and Sympathetic Arsenal in the fourth. Arsenic Bite-4b has a more limited pool of perks, but it can come with some amazing ones likes Rampage and Explosive Head.

These mainly include three bows, all in the energy slot. The first is Le Monarque, which can be very fun to use for clearing adds in every high-end activity thanks to its poison damage spreading. Ticcu's Divination is another superb bow that would be even better if it wasn't for the Warmind Cells Nerf in Season 15, as it could easily spawn them. Lastly, the king of add clearing is Trinity Ghoul, which fires arrows that split and chain lightning between enemy targets. The first two are available from the Monument to Lost Light, while Trinity Ghoul is a world drop.
These three kinetic auto rifles are good weapons to own when Season 15 launches, as auto rifles are going to be the only guns capable of stunning Barrier Champions. Out of the bunch, Chroma Rush is easily the best one, and right now it's also the easiest to farm thanks to Umbral Engrams and Override. All three weapons come with their own set of reliable perks and they can be used in PvE activities to clear packs of enemies, especially thanks to the Subsistence perk they all come with.
While there are several auto rifles packed with a bang, and several of them in the energy slot - like Arctic Haze and Gnawing Hunger, the winner for Season 15 will most likely be Shadow Price. It is the only auto rifle in the game that can roll with Disruption Break and is not sunset. Disruption Break is especially nice on Anti-Barrier guns because it provides an amazing buff to weapon damage with kinetic weapons after the barrier is broken.
While these are not necessarily going to be must-have guns next Season because of how the sandbox might change, there are a few Exotic auto rifles that can be used in many builds. One of them is Monte Carlo, which comes in handy whenever players want to have their melee ability up as often as possible. Another that's worth mentioning is Sweet Business, an auto rifle that's sort of a hybrid machine gun, and the reason why it could be excellent in Season 15 is that the Titan's Rally Barricade is receiving substantial buffs.
While The Messenger is a kinetic pulse rifle, both Gridskipper and Third Axiom come in the energy slot, respectively with Void and Arc damage. These three pulse rifles are among the best ones to use in Season 15 if players prefer this weapon type to sidearms, fusion rifles, and linear fusion rifles to stun Unstoppable Champions. The Messenger is a Trial weapon, and coincidentally is one of the best PvP guns in the game. Gridskipper is obtained in Override and from Umbral Engrams focused via the Prismatic Recaster, and it has a smaller perk pool than Third Axiom, making it easy to get a good roll.

Among them, the best ones to look for are going to be Graviton Lance, Bad Juju, No Time to Explain, and Outbreak Perfected. Graviton Lance is the only energy pulse rifle of the four, and it can be very useful to clear adds efficiently. Bad Juju is not the best of the bunch, but it does come in handy for those players who want to generate Super energy as often as possible.
No Time to Explain is a superb gun with lots of damage, and while this is not confirmed to be the case, the shots fired from the portal could also passively stun Unstoppable Champions. Outbreak Perfected can deal massive damage the more players use it to spread nanite swarms. Bad Juju and Outbreak Perfected are available from the Monument to Lost Light, while Graviton Lance is a world drop and No Time to Explain is from the Beyond Light campaign.
Sidearms are not the most popular option when it comes to dealing with Unstoppable Champions in endgame PvE activities because they have a limited range, and generally there are better options. This is especially true in Season 15, with the Unstoppable mods for pulse rifles, fusion, and linear fusion rifles available. Regardless, good options include High Albedo and Brass Attacks for Legendary sidearms, and Traveler's Chosen and Rat King for Exotic options - both of which are available from the Monument to Lost Light.
It's not officially confirmed that swords will get an Overload mod, but if so great options include The Guillotine, Quickfang, Crown-Splitter, and Sola's Scar. The Guillotine is a very strong weapon with high DPS and AoE coverage, and is probably the best one to use to stun Overload Champions reliably.
Eriana's Vow is likely going to see a lot of use in Season 15 due to hand cannons being buffed, and this specific Exotic coming with built-in Anti-Barrier rounds. Another option comes in the form of The Lament, a sword with incredibly high damage and DPS potential if landing the full combo that can also penetrate the shield of Barrier Champions. Lastly, Divinity is going to be an amazing weapon to use in Season 15 both for its debuff, and because it can stun Overload Champions, which offers a good alternative to using bows or swords.
Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
