Twitch sensation Dream has a peculiar trait that makes him unique on the streaming site; He never shows his face, instead choosing to wear a simple happy face mask. As such, when his Minecraft streaming fans get some sort of hint as to what the popular gaming star looks like they tend to get a little excited. A new music video may have finally revealed Dream’s face to the world.
The music video for “INFERNO” was released on August 13 by TikTok sensation Bella Poarch and American singer Sub Urban. Poarch, a Filipino-American social media personality turned singer, rose to fame when she created the most liked video on TikTok by lip-syncing the song “Soph Aspin Send” by British rapper Millie B. In May 2021, Poarch then debuted as a full-blown music artist, releasing videos featuring other content creators like Valkyrae, TommyInnit, Ludwig, and more.

Fans had plenty of fun trying to find all the different stars in the “INFERNO” music video, but they never would’ve expected Dream to be included, until Sub Urban dropped a tweet stating that he may just be in the video. To further fuel the rumor, song creator Bella Poarch quoted Sub Urban’s tweet asking if she and Dream should reveal the truth to fans. Dream simply replied, “you just did.”
Upon hearing the news, fans began to frantically comb through the video content to see if they could be the ones to spot the infamous Dream. Of course, given that no one really knows what exactly Dream looks like, it’s hard for anyone to pinpoint his location in the music video. Dream may not even really be in the video, and this may just be an elaborate hoax to tease his many excited fans.
Social media platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok have created new ways for charismatic individuals to find their way to fame. With cell phones, computers, and webcams being so easy to obtain today, individuals are given the tools to express themselves to the world in unique ways. Dream’s gimmick of faceless impressive Minecraft speed runs has catapulted him into one of the most viewed streamers on Twitch.
Of course, there are countless Twitch streamers and YouTube content creators who are never able to crack the code to become popular on those sites. There’s certainly more to Dream’s popularity than simply being a faceless streamer. He actually plans on doing a face reveal at some point in the future. Maybe Dream's fans will then finally get the answer as to whether he was actually in the “INFERNO” video or not.
