The August Pokemon Presents is the longest of its kind, with information about Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

With three major Pokemon titles on the horizon, Pokemon fans are constantly clamoring for new information regarding the series, hoping for details on Pokemon Legends Arceus or Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The new titles were fully revealed in a Pokemon Presents that occurred in February, in one of the longest of its kind to date. In a new announcement from the official Pokemon Twitter, the latest Pokemon Presents will eclipse the length of any before it, leading fans to believe it will be packed with content.

There has been a concerted effort by the Pokemon Company to delve into the world of 3D, with the success of Pokemon Snap and the phenomena, Pokemon Go, the realization of Pokemon into a 3D space is something that has proven to be a defining step for the franchise. Although Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remasters of 2D counterparts created for handheld devices, the new versions will be exclusively available to the Nintendo Switch. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is also coming to the Nintendo Switch, meaning all three titles will be packed onto Nintendo's flagship console.

This makes for three large scale Pokemon adaptions in the works, as well as continued support for Pokemon Unite and Pokemon Go, as well as any other minor projects being cooked up for Pokemon's 25th anniversary this year. Covering all of these games will likely take some time, which is likely why the upcoming August 18 Pokemon Presents will run for a whopping 28 minutes, according to a translated tweet from the Pokemon Company Japan. This makes the presentation 8 minutes longer than the February presentation, which saw the reveal of Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

With such a huge number of Pokemon titles to cover, and Pokemon's 25th anniversary underway, it's unsurprising that the latest Presents will be a long one. Most fans are assuming that the presentation will give a more in-depth look at the three new games, with many hoping to see a new build of Pokemon Legends due to the open world Pokemon game being particularly ambitious for the franchise. With Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl being remakes, fans will likely be on the lookout for marked differences from the originals, and any unique tie ins the upcoming Pokemon Legends.

There is certainly going to be a lot to digest from a 28 minute long Pokemon Presents, with three new major titles entering the Pokemon franchise. Fans would certainly be greedy to ask for any more, especially considering New Pokemon Snap received DLC earlier this month, and Pokemon Unite is only two months out of the gate. However, with Pokemon's 25th anniversary, and the scope of Pokemon as an IP, there is always the opportunity for the franchise to grow in unexpected ways.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release on on November 19, 2021, for Nintendo Switch, while Pokemon Legends: Arceus is slated for release on January 28, 2022.
