Dusk Relics are a useful item to collect in Skyward Sword. Here's how players can farm them quickly, and what they can use them for.

Dusk Relics are special items in Skyward Sword that can be used to upgrade certain items. They are also worth 30 Rupees each, and can be sold for a decent profit. These small collectables are located in the Silent Realms in game. However, if players have the Rupees, they can just buy one from the Moonlight Merchant, who sells the relics for 100 Rupees.

For those that are unable to afford the relics, unlocking the Silent Realm trials is relatively straightforward. This guide will cover how to reach the Silent Realms and collect the relics. Additionally, gamers can reference the Dusk Relic upgrades at the end of the article.

How To Unlock The Silent Realms

Silent Reams are ethereal locations that Link can access by using the Goddess Sword. In each of the following locations, Link will need to play a song to alert the particular goddess and slam the sword to enter the realm.

  • Eldin Volcano
  • Faron Woods
  • Lanayru Desert
  • Skyloft

Once inside, the objective for each of the four silent realms is to collect 15 Sacred Tears. As soon as Link sets out to get the tears, the Sacred Guardians will try to stop him. Finding one tear will stun the guardians for a minute and a half, making the trials relatively easy. As long as players are picking up tears, they will survive. Apart from reaching the milestone in game, there is no need to collect the tears in order to obtain Dusk Relics. In fact, players may want to hold off on completing the trials until they can collect a bunch of the valuable Dusk Relics.

Farm Dusk Relics Fast

The best trial to enter to farm Dusk Relics is Farore's Silent Realm in Faron Woods. The Silent Realm entrance is all the way on the top right of the map. Play Farore's Courage in order to get through to the realm. Link will then need to slam his sword and voila, gamers will arrive in the Silent Realm. In Farore's Silent Realm, there will be a total of five Dust Relics on the map every time Link spawns in. Search the map to find all five in just a few minutes.

As soon as they have all five, players should let one of the guardians kill them. Link will keep the Dusk Relics, and gamers can go right back into the realm to farm more. The entire process takes under three minutes, so people can easily collect over one hundred Dusk Relics in an hour. There is no faster way to get Dusk Relics in Skyward Sword. Once players have more than enough Dusk Relics, they can go ahead and complete the Silent Realm. Collecting all of the tears won't take long either.

What To Do If The Silent Realms Are Complete

For players that have already finished each of the four Silent Realms, there is a way to re-gain access later in the game. During the story, Link will meet a thunder dragon named Lanayru, who will be able to transport Link back to the protected realms. The only catch is that Link will spawn back at the Lanayru's Gorge, so a little more walking will be necessary. Gamers can then re-play the Silent Realms and stack up Dusk Relics to make a ton of quick cash.

Dusk Relic Upgrades

Link can upgrade several items using the relics, and each will be quite useful later in the game. All players have to do is head over to the scrap shop and collect all the necessary items. In total, gamers will need 13 Dusk Relics to get all of the potential upgraded items.

  • Divine Shield: 1 Dusk Relics
  • Goddess Shield: 4 Dusk Relics
  • Scattershot: 2 Dusk Relics
  • Medium Quiver: 3 Dusk Relics
  • Large Quiver: 3 Dusk Relics

The Divive Shield is an upgraded version of the Sacred Shield. It regenerates faster and is more durable than the Sacred Shield. Once Link crafts the Divine Shield, it can be upgraded to the Goddess Shield. The Goddess shield is one of the best shields in the game, second only to the Hylian Shield.

Likewise, the Scattershot is a better slingshot that can fire multiple seeds when the meter is charged. It only costs one seed to fire a scatter. Both the Medium and Large quiver make life a lot easier when using a bow. Large quivers provide slots for 15 additional arrows when equipped. Once he's collected all of these Dusk Relic upgrades, Link will by a force to be reckoned with in Hyrule.
