A fan of Bethesda's Fallout series showcases a room lined wall to wall with hundreds of pieces of Fallout merchandise and memorabilia.

As with many immensely popular series, Fallout has attracted its share of of collectors by expanding into merchandise. One fan in particular has built up a massive collection of Fallout memorabilia that fills an entire room.

Fallout is a series spanning several genres, with some of its most notable entries being hybrid RPGs and first-person shooters. It has been active since 1997, but ever since Bethesda began publishing the series in 2004, the merchandising has kicked into overdrive, with hundreds of licensed toys, figurines and other collectibles made available over the years.

Fallout may be well known for its many in-game collectibles, but some prefer the real thing. A TikTok user appropriately named The Fallout Collector recently posted a video showing off an entire room lined with Fallout memorabilia, displayed cleanly in glass cases and on shelves. Everything in the room appears to have some connection to Fallout, from a small lamp shaped like a mushroom cloud to an entire display case shelf dedicated to Vault Boy figurines. A standing cardboard cutout presumably used as promotional material for Fallout 3 makes an appearance as well, showing the collection is not only dedicated to the official merchandise.

On top of the display cases are several replicas of what appears to be the iconic T-51b power armor and even a replica rifle hangs above the door. Many of the items have their original boxes nearby. Items in the collection seem to range from Fallout 3 to Fallout 76, an era spanning over a decade and most likely continuing.

There are many ways for collectors to build their collections, whether through trading, gifts or just having cash on hand. Most collections, especially those including potentially rare items like collector's editions of games, are built through a combination of these methods, especially since a lot of merchandise cannot be purchased directly from Bethesda or authorized resellers anymore. Over time, collectibles go out of print and become hard to come by, and Fallout's long legacy means there are many rare physical merch pieces.

Fallout is an ideal series to collect for, as there is so much merchandise available that new collection targets are practically endless. Building a complete collection may be nearly impossible, but the pursuit of such a lofty goal is a relatively common motivator for collectors of all franchises. Some collectors even targeting a single series like Final Fantasy can build up thousands of items over many years.
