Fortnite players working their way through the Legendary quests for Season 7, Week 12 can use this guide to find out where to deploy scanners.

Fortnite's latest batch of Legendary Quests have arrived to the battle royale island. One of the quests for Chapter 2, Season 7, Week 12 of Fortnite requires players to deploy some scanners at Alien Biomes. Many players might think that these Biomes are the ones in Holly Hatchery with the low-gravity effects, but that is not the case for this quest.

Ever since the aliens started taking over the Fortnite island, there have been many areas, specifically near the Aftermath landmark, covered in a purple-colored substance. These spots on the map are definitely not human-made, but players will have to head to these locations in order to find the scanners and deploy them for the Week 12 challenge. Fortnite fans can use this guide to earn some extra XP and further learn about the game's lore.

**This Fortnite Legendary Quest, along with the others, will go live on Wednesday, August 25 at 10 am ET / 7 AM PT.

Alien Biome Locations in Fortnite Season 7

In order for the Fortnite quest to be completed, players will only have to visit two of the scanner locations. Players will be happy to know that there are a total of 6 locations where the scanners will appear. They are also all pretty close to one another, making this quest one of the easier ones for this week.

Fortnite players can use the map below to locate all of the Alien Biome locations. Once players enter any purple areas, the scanner will be glowing blue, and players will need to interact with it. These purple biomes are very small, so players shouldn't have any trouble spotting the quest items.

Players can find an Alien Biome southwest of Boney Burbs, northeast of Boney Burbs, East of Pleasant Park, north of Corny Complex, South of Corny Complex, and northwest of Dirty Docks. As mentioned before, all of these locations are fairly close to each other. A player should be able to reach two scanners during one battle royale match, especially if they find themselves with a fast vehicle like a Ferrari.

The scanners will look like this:

Players will earn XP once two of the scanners have been interacted with. After that, players can either continue to complete some of the other challenges for this week or perhaps search for some of the Alien Artifacts they might've missed in the last couple of weeks.

Fortnite is currently free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
