Destiny 2 Season of the Lost just launched, and fans of the game will have their hands full with new things to do, secrets to unravel, and a very long grind up ahead. As customary with every Season so far, Bungie did increase the Power Level for Destiny 2's Season of the Lost as well, meaning that players will have to look for more of those Pinnacle Gear weekly quests.
Destiny 2's Season of the Lost New Light Level
Before delving into Power Levels, it should be noted that players will now also have an easier time understanding which Destiny quests grant more experience than others, as Bungie added several tiers and divided them as follows:

- XP
- XP+
- XP++
- Challenger XP
- Challenger XP+
- Challenger XP++
- Challenger XP+++
These will be featured in both bounties and seasonal challenges, starting with Destiny 2's Season of the Lost, meaning they are already available even on older bounties that players might have stored for the new Season.
With Season of the Splicer, the Light Level for Destiny 2 Guardians rose to 1310 for the Powerful Cap and 1320 for the Hard Cap, similar to how it changed in Season of the Chosen. In Season of the Lost, the new Power Level is 1320 for the Powerful Cap and 1330 for the Hard Cap, with a total increase of 10 levels. This means that Upgrade Modules will always be a valuable resource, but slightly less than in major expansions such as Beyond Light, where the Power Level gap was immense.
How to Get to Light Level 1330 in Destiny 2's Season of the Lost
Because of the Powerful Cap and Hard Cap changes, players who didn't get to the Hard cap of 1320 for Season of the Splicer will now benefit from a boost coming from Prime, Exotic, Legendary, and Umbral Engrams. As a matter of fact, these will now cap at Power Level 1320, meaning it will be easier to get to the previous Hard Cap, while for Power Level 1321 to 1330, Pinnacle Gear will be required.
As such, players should try to get to Power Level 1320 before completing Pinnacle Gear missions for the week so that it will be easier to get to 1321 and above in a single week, with a bit of luck. Players should also know that Destiny 2 gear scales up with Power Level based on the highest Power Level across all items owned, meaning that not every piece needs to be infused to keep up with its Light Level.
Destiny 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
