After crafting a weapon with Alien Nanites and destroying target dummies with IO weapons in Fortnite, players will receive another Legendary Quest that instructs them to search for books on explosions. In total, fans must find two of these books in order to complete the challenge, and those that do will earn themselves a nice reward. Assisting players with that endeavor is the precise purpose of this guide, and indeed the locations of the books on explosions in Fortnite can be found in what follows.
Where Are the Books On Explosions in Fortnite
To get right to it, there are actually six books on explosions scattered across Fortnite’s map, and any two of them will work for the purposes of finishing the challenge. Specifically, there are two books at Catty Corner, two more at Dirty Docks, and yet another two at Steamy Stacks, and the maps and details that are found below should help players zero in on them:

Books on Explosions at Catty Corner
- Next to a trailer in the northwest corner of the area.
- Near a trash can outside of the garage that is south of Catty Corner.
Books on Explosions at Dirty Docks
- By the dumpsters at the northwest corner of the area, near to where the Fortnite NPC Joey spawns.
- By a dumpster on the westside of the area with the stacks of shipping containers.
Books on Explosions at Steamy Stacks
- By the couch that is just inside of Kevolutoin Energy.
- Inside of the room filled with computers on the ground floor of Building 3.
As previously noted, players will receive a reward upon collecting two of the books on explosions, and that reward is a whooping 30,000 XP. That is unlikely to surprise many fans, though, as indeed this is the standard prize for completing Legendary Quests. Still, players that are working to level up and earn Battle Stars in Fortnite Season 7 are sure to appreciate this chance to pickup some easy XP.
Notably, this is not the last of this week’s Legendary challenges, as there is a follow-up quest that centers around deploying scanners in the alien biome. When that challenge is done, players can move onto collecting alien devices and activating the countermeasure device that is underneath Corny Complex. Again, each of these challenges award 30,000 XP upon completion, which will be very helpful to those fans who are still looking to make some progress on the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass.
