One wonderfully talented individual manages to make an incredibly detailed, physical recreation of one of the dragon priest masks from Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is an, admittedly, old game. With Skyrim coming up on its ten year anniversary later this November, plenty of fans continue to celebrate the game even after releasing several console generations ago. Now, one fan has made an impressive, physical homage to one of the game's most memorable enemy types.

What makes Skyrim such a memorable experience for a number of players is the game's aesthetic design. Whether that's characters, weapons, armor, or equipment, fans have taken those elements and have brought them to life in interesting and tangible ways. For instance, one fan made an incredible glass dagger replica that looks uncanny to the version of it in the game. Although, another fan has made a similar replica of a piece of armor seen throughout the game.

A Reddit user named the_wardrobe_armory made an incredible replica of a dragon priest mask with a high level of detail. The dragon priest masks play a key role in the open world of Skyrim and are scattered in various different locations. This replica in particular isn't of any one dragon mask, but rather depicts the general design of the dragon priest masks in a very vivid and realistic way.

The dragon priest masks not only play a large part in Skyrim's lore, but are also very recognizable in terms of design. What likely inspires fans to want to recreate certain items or outfits from Skyrim is how memorable the aesthetic is. The fact that fans are cosplaying the Whiterun guards in addition to all the other noteworthy characters that populate the game is indicative of how much the world of Skyrim has influenced people.

It's amazing to see how much longevity Skyrim possesses to this day. After releasing on the tail end of the seventh console generation, it has made its presence known on nearly every console generation to come after it, including some unexpected systems like the Nintendo Switch and Amazon Alexa.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls series moving forward. While The Elder Scrolls 6 was confirmed to be in development there has been next to nothing by way of official news and nothing to indicate when the game will officially release. With any luck, Bethesda will have more substantial information to share with fans of the series in due time.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available on PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
