Stardew Valley was released several years ago, but fans discover hidden details including this discovery about big slimes.

Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone is the lone developer who released Stardew Valley back in 2016, but fans continue to discover hidden details. One fan just recently noticed an interesting detail about big slimes in Stardew Valley that may benefit other players.

Reddit user Euclid_Wheat recently posted a photo of their Stardew Valley adventures as they stood before a giant slime. Inside the giant slime is a pink cake that players can defeat the enemy in order to obtain. Pink cake is a useful item for Stardew Valley players as it restores 250 energy and 112 health.

According to Stardew Valley fans, pink cake is an item most prominently found in big slimes in Skull Cavern. Players can also purchase the pink cake in Krobus' shop on random Saturdays or in the Stardrop Saloon's rotating stock. It is also a reward for completing the Chef's Bundle on the Bulletin Board and at the Feast of the Winter Star.

Euclid_Wheat claimed to be today years old when they discovered this detail about big slimes in Stardew Valley, but several fans responded with more useful information. One Reddit user was quick to point out that equipping the burglar's ring right before killing a big slime holding a pink cake will reward two cakes. One Stardew Valley player even claimed that a big slime rewarded them with a galaxy soul which was visible before killing as well.

Some Stardew Valley fans quickly pointed out to Euclid_Wheat that pink cake was added to the big slime loot pool with update 1.5. They also encouraged Euclid_Wheat to continue playing the indie game because ConcernedApe continues to work on updates for Stardew Valley. One fan also pointed out that the game can be modded to include even crazier loot drops.

Stardew Valley players may lament the fact that they spent so much time and energy in order to acquire pink cakes through other methods just to see one drop from a big slime shortly after. Euclid_Wheat didn't mention whether or not they had tried acquiring Stardew Valley's pink cake in other ways, but the update 1.5 change was a pleasant surprise to them. Other Reddit users are doubtlessly searching Skull Cavern to notice the same hidden detail.

Considering that pink cake is a cooked dish in Stardew Valley, it is somewhat peculiar to some players that the big slime occasionally drops it. Some fans suggested that Euclid_Wheat shouldn't ingest anything that comes from within a big slime, but the pink cake will work all the same regardless of how it's found.

Stardew Valley is available right now for mobile, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
