Over the years, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has influenced many in the gaming community. With many unique and memorable gameplay and world-building facets that make Skyrim what it is in the eyes of its fans, this allows for several creative fan works to be shared online. The most recent of which being a group of students that have replicated the iconic intonations of Skyrim NPCs within a unique setting.
A cacophony of memorable NPCs populate Skyrim with each one featuring their own unique storyline and purpose for existing within the world of the game. However, a commonality that many Elder Scrolls NPCs share is the monotonous speech patterns heard throughout each game. Often times, NPCs will repeat the same lines over and over again in the same tonal register, resulting in various memes and parody videos surfacing online. One such parody video envisions what a college campus would be like if all the students were Skyrim NPCs.

A TikTok user named slammyandtheratpack created a video that showed a bunch of college students speaking in the same cadence and line delivery of non-specific Skyrim NPCs. In lieu of the typical discussion of Imperials and Stormcloaks, the civilians are talking about long lines at the cafeteria and difficult assignments from professors. It's rather humorous to imagine a bunch of college students having the same behavior as Skyrim NPCs. The video can be viewed here.
It's amazing to see the level of accuracy these students put in their respective performances and how accurate it is to the behavior of actual Skyrim NPCs. In a sense, NPCs tend to be where most Elder Scrolls memes tend to stem from. For instance, one of the most famous Skyrim memes of all time, "arrow in the knee", was made famous preciesely because of how memorable the delivery is.
The fact that even the most minute details of Skyrim tend to influence fans of the game in unexpected ways. Not to mention the sheer longevity that the Elder Scrolls series possesses. Despite releasing over fifteen years ago, online users are still making memes about The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, many of which involve the NPCs. Thus, for fans of the series, there's a lot of memorable and humorous qualities about these games to pull from, which result in content such as this.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Elder Scrolls. While The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced during E3 2018, there has been next to nothing in terms of official news regarding the game's development. With any luck, new information regarding the game will be revealed in the coming months.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available on PC, PS3, PS4, Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
