In his highly-publicized PPV fight against former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley two days ago, YouTuber Jake Paul was unanamously declaired the winner. Each fighter received a large purse for the fight, but one fighter gave away significantly more of his earnings.
After the August 29 Showtime Pay Per View fight took place, it is estimated that controversial YouTube star Jake Paul pulled a massive amount of money. This win leaves Paul undefeated in his short career so far; he's currently 4-0. In his previous win against Ben Askren, his purse was about $690,000, but the social media star saw a large payraise this time around.

With UFC ticket sales at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Ohio and Pay Per View sales, Paul is estimated to have made $2.8 million USD that night. This is according to a source on Twitter that Paul himself shared on the platform, lending the number some credence. Of the $2.8 million, Jake Paul has donated $1 million USD. Woodley is guessed to have taken home $880,000 million USD with a large bonus, but Showtime has yet to verfiy any of these numbers.
The $1 million USD donated by Paul went to support the other fighters that night, including the "underpaid UFC stars and women." The money was distributed among the other fighters that were on the card that night. Each of the women on the card that night earned an extra bonus due to Paul's donation. Amanda Serrano, the winner of the women's match, is estimated to have gotten $500,000 bonus and the loser Yamileth Mercado $50,000. Even Woodley's bonus of $220,000 is rumored to have come directly from Paul's purse, in spite of Paul being booed by UFC fans throughout the fight.
If this fight is any indication, the social media star's fighting career is far from over, and fans of both Jake Paul and UFC will be seeing a lot more of the YouTuber in the coming years. Not only has Jake Paul teased a Twitch channel, but he's also hoping to fight others in the coming months. Not only is Woodley calling for a rematch (to which Paul replied that he'd only rematch Woodley if the UFC champ got a tattoo that said "I love Jake Paul" first), but Tommy Fury also wants a piece of Paul. There seems to be a growing list of fighters that are hoping to catch Paul in the ring at some point soon.
