Xbox has been offering a lot of great deals recently for gamers. In addition to the platform’s successful Xbox Game Pass service, the company has hosted Free Play Days for Xbox Live Gold members that allow them to try games for free during a limited time. However, the deals keep coming from Microsoft as it announced a new sale on a variety of Activision Blizzard games.
Revealed on the Xbox website, this sale provides gamers with a chance to pick up some games that they might not have checked out previously. The sale covers a wide range of titles from Activision Blizzard as the Xbox Store currently has over 30 titles on sale from the publisher. While the discounts vary from game to game, some titles are up to 80% off. Players can purchase these games and start playing them today as these deals are now live.

One of the high-profile games included in the sale is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Released in 2020, the game is the most recent entry in the Black Ops series by developers Treyarch and Raven Software. The game is a first-person shooter featuring a number of multiplayer maps and a co-op Zombies mode. It contains a campaign set in the early 1980s during the Cold War as well. Players can save 40% on the Ultimate Edition and 50% on the Standard and Cross-Gen Bundle Editions.
In addition to these editions of the game, the discount includes a free Season 5 Battle Pass plus 20 Tier Skips for those that purchase one of the discounted editions during the sale and play the game by September 6. For players that already have the Season 5 Battle Pass, they can instead redeem the upcoming Season 6 Battle Pass upon release.
The sale features some retro goodness as Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available at a discount as well. This newest adventure from the classic platformer series is available at 40% off. However, the game also comes as part of the Quadrilogy Bundle and Crashiversary Bundles that offer extra discounts.
Some other games worth noting as part of the event include remastered versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 available at up to 40% off. The remastered editions of the skateboarding games add additional skaters, music, and multiplayer modes for players to sample. Furthermore, the 2016 team-based shooter Overwatch is available at 67% off for those wanting a competitive experience to play with friends.
Events like the Activision Blizzard Publisher Sale give players a chance to pick up games that they might not otherwise play at full price. With Xbox offering a number of ways for fans to get access to more games, it will be interesting to see what type of deals the company has in store next.
