The PC beta for Call of Duty: Vanguard is still a couple weekends away, but the PC requirements for the game are now available.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, taking the series back to World War 2, although this time for a less historically accurate jaunt. Vanguard's mulitplayer trailer shows off the action-packed gameplay that players have come to expect over the years, plus destructible environs and brutal melee kills.

The mix of World War 2 story and maps and more modern additions such as new killstreaks and gun/class customization has players eager to get their hands on Call of Duty: Vanguard, and this weekend, some will get the chance. While the first beta run is PlayStation exclusive, the next two will be available on PC, and as such, the PC requirements for the game are now public.

There are a lot of things coming in the beta, and everything players need to know about Call of Duty: Vanguard's beta is too big to fit here. But the PC requirements are fairly straightforward. The minimum requirements are manageable, but the recommended might not be within everyone's budget. First and foremost, the OS (Operating System) requirement is Windows 10 64 Bit, 1909 or later. For the recommended settings, it's the same thing, just with the latest Service Pack instead of 1909.

The minimum CPU requirement is either an Intel Core i5-2500k or an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X. The recommended is more advanced, either an Intel Core i7-4770k or an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. Neither of these recommended CPUs are the latest and greatest, which will be good news for players on a budget who want to experience all the game modes in Call of Duty: Vanguard's beta. The minimum RAM requirement is only 8GB, but the recommended is twice that at 16GB.

Perhaps the most important part to most players is the video requirements, which are fairly substantial. Minimum video card recommendation is either a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 2GB / GTX 1050Ti 4GB or an AMD Radeon R9 380. The actually recommended card is either a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB / GTX 1660 6GB or an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56. To fully experience all of Call of Duty: Vanguard's maps in full detail, players cannot skimp on this one.

Last but not least is the HDD, which is a hefty requirement for this game. The minimum and recommended are exactly the same since the game only takes up so much space, but it's a sizable amount: 45GB HD space. That's a tall ask, but for those who really want to experience Call of Duty: Vanguard's new and returning killstreaks for themselves, it's necessary.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
