Fans have a new way to collect Pokemon after the Oreo company announces limited-edition cookies featuring different Pokemon from the franchise.

Ever since the Pokemon franchise started, players have been trying to collect every type of monster that the series offers. From the many games released over the years to a selection of very rare Pokemon cards, the hunt never ends for those passionate about catching them all. However, a recent collaboration between Pokemon and a certain cookie gives fans another reason to collect even more Pokemon.

Recently, Oreo cookie announced a partnership with Pokemon. In celebration of this new collaboration between the two companies, Oreo released a YouTube video featuring characters from the Pokemon series. In the short advert, a trainer attempts to catch the famous Pikachu. After chasing the Pokemon for a brief time, they throw a Pokeball in an attempt to catch it. After a large explosion, the trainer grabs an Oreo, revealing that Pikachu has transformed into a Pokemon-themed dessert. Possibly the most impressive aspect of the video was that all the visuals were made out of Oreo cookies.

Fans have several different Pokemon to find, as the video revealed 16 different designs of Pokemon x Oreo limited-edition cookies. However, some of these varieties might prove more difficult to find as each box contains a random selection of Pokemon. There is even an extremely rare Mythical Pokemon to discover. A few of the designs on the cookies include Jigglypuff, Pikachu, Squirtle, and Charmander.

While this collaboration might have caught some by surprise, it seems to make sense for these massive companies to join forces. Oreo is the best-selling cookie brand in the United States, while Pokemon is the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. Furthermore, Oreo had released a teaser for the collaboration back in June.

These Pokemon x Oreo cookies can be pre-ordered now for $5.19. They will become available on Oreo.com and at stores on September 13. However, the cookies are only available for a limited time, so fans of the franchise will need to move fast if they want to catch them all.

This isn’t the only news regarding the Pokemon franchise, as Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will soon release on the Switch. These two games are remakes of titles originally released on the DS. With improved visuals and new features such as Pokemon types not seen in the DS version, gamers have a lot to look forward to over the coming days.
