How To Get The Movie Theater
There are 2 locations where players can choose to build the Movie Theater: the Abandoned JojaMart or the Joja Warehouse. Each path is quite different, and, although they will take quite some time and money, either is a suitable option.
How To Get The Movie Theater To Replace The Abandoned JojaMart
- Completely restore the Community Center
- Wait until the next stormy or rainy day
- Watch the cutscene that will play of lightning striking the Abandoned JojaMart
- Enter the Abandoned JojaMart to find the Midding Bundle
- Complete the Missing Bundle (needs 1 Wine [silver quality or higher], 1 Dinosaur Mayonnaise, 1 Prismatic Shard, 5 Ancient Fruit [must be gold quality], 1 Void Salmon [gold quality or higher], and 1 Caviar)
- Wait 1 full day for the Juminoes to build the Movie Theater after completing the Missing Bundle

How To Get The Movie Theater To Replace The Joja Warehouse
- Talk to Morris in the JojaMart to buy a Joja Membership for 5,000g
- Turn the Community Center into the Joja Warehouse to unlock the Joja Community Development Form
- Complete all of the Joja Community Development Form objectives to unlock the Movie Theater objective
- Pay 500,000g to build the Movie Theater
- Wait 1 full day for the Movie Theater to be built
How To Use The Movie Theater
The Movie Theater's hours of operation are between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, so players will need to head there between these times to make use of the building, which should not be very difficult on most days. Players will need to purchase a Movie Ticket for 1,000g in order to enter the Movie Theater, however, an additional ticket can be bought for the purpose of giving it to someone.

To give someone a Movie Ticket, players can do so in the same way that they would give a regular gift. Giving someone a Movie Ticket will allow players to see a film with them at the Movie Theater on the same day that the Movie Ticket was given. Don't wait too long to meet up with the receiver of the Movie Ticket, as by the next day, it will be useless!

Movie Schedule Overview
There are 8 Movies overall that can play at the Movie Theater, though not all are watchable at the same time. They appear on a schedule based on the season as well as the year. The first 4 Movies will play during the 4 seasons of the first year that the Movie Theater appears in Pelican Town after being completed, referred to as Year 1. The next 4 will play throughout the 4 respective seasons of the following year; Year 2.
Friendship Benefits Of Watching A Movie With Someone
Inviting a character to a Movie that they love will grant 200 Friendship points while inviting them to a Movie they like will increase Friendship points by 100. However, inviting someone to a Movie they dislike will have no effect on the player's Friendship with them.
