Diablo 2: Resurrected is less than a week away, so fans don't have to wait long to jump back into Sanctuary, hacking, slashing, and looting to their hearts' desire. The hope is that when players are able to get their hands on Diablo 2: Resurrected that the lingering headaches have been resolved and the game is an overall better experience than fans remember it. Blizzard has been fixing bugs and various other issues with the game, and it's now been confirmed that the dreaded "Trapsin" bug will be fixed with a day one patch.
The Diablo 2 Trapsin bug specifically impacted Assassin class players. Basically, the Diablo 2 Trapsin bug was believed to have been caused by Assassin class players laying down traps (known as "Trapsins" in the community), which would prevent as many boss packs from spawning for whatever reason. This would in turn put Diablo 2 Assassin players at a disadvantage when it came to acquiring quality loot, so they will definitely be happy to learn that it's been fixed.

Blizzard community manager Adam Fletcher confirmed as much on Twitter, explaining that the Diablo 2 Trapsin bug will be addressed with a day one patch. More details on Diablo 2's day one patch have yet to be revealed, but that information should come to light in the coming days. It's been made clear that there are plans to support Diablo 2 post-launch with fixes and updates, like most other games nowadays, so fans should expect patches to be a semi-regular occurrence for the game.
While Diablo 2: Resurrected is fixing the Trapsin bug for launch, there's another bug that will apparently stay in the game. As longtime fans may recall, Diablo 2 has a Next Hit Always Misses bug, which has been confirmed to still be part of the new version of the game. The reason given by Blizzard is that the Diablo 2 NHAM bug is "part of the original experience," and so the team doesn't want to change it. However, the door has been left open to the possibility of changing it with an update if community demand is high enough.
Another bug that Blizzard hopefully addresses is the Diablo 2 trading bug. For the uninitiated, there's an exploit in Diablo 2 that allows players to steal items in a trade instead of giving up an item of their own. This is a concern for the console versions of the game especially as the cursor will move slower than if someone were playing Diablo 2: Resurrected on PC with a traditional mouse and keyboard setup.
Fans can expect Blizzard and Vicarious Visions to squash Diablo 2: Resurrected's major bugs and adjust the game based on community feedback. So hopefully more problems like the Trapsin bug are sorted ahead of launch or shortly thereafter.
Diablo 2: Resurrected launches September 23 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
