Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been out now for close to a year. Over that time, fans have been able to play a number of exciting modes such as Zombies. This fun multiplayer mode lets groups of players work together to defeat hordes of the undead. While the mode rewards gamers with new gear and weapon camos, it also contains some bugs. Recently, one player found this out when trying to use a scorestreak.

Scorestreaks are a controversial reward system in Cold War. Unlike the killstreak feature found in many other Call of Duty games that rewarded players based on the number of kills they acquired without dying, Cold War players earn points to call in different rewards through getting kills, playing objectives, and more. These scorestreaks allow players to gain a competitive advantage in battles through rewards such as UAVs or Care Packages. However, one of the most powerful of these scorestreaks is the Chopper Gunner which gives players control over the weapons of a helicopter for a short time. Despite this being a useful reward during battle, one player found out that the scorestreak doesn’t always go as planned.

In a recent Reddit post, a user known as Sandman343 shared a clip of them using the powerful Chopper Gunner in a game of Zombies. The video started with the player calling in their scorestreak. After teleporting to the helicopter, the gamer turned to view the complex that they were about to attack. Unfortunately for the player, that’s when things took an unexpected turn.

As Sandman343 rapidly approached the group of buildings, they realized that the helicopter was quickly losing altitude. While some might have expected the aircraft to crash into the building, it shockingly went straight through the ground. After realizing what was happening, the player let out a surprised scream as they descended below the map. The gamer joked about the unfortunate event saying, "my heli is now a submarine.”

The Call of Duty community on Reddit has found this most recent glitch by Sandman343 to be quite unusual and humorous. With over 1,300 upvotes, many gamers commented that the scream when the player knew the helicopter was going down made the video even better. Other Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players noted that Zombies mode seems to run worse than the regular multiplayer.

This isn’t the only bug impacting Call of Duty players of late. Other Cold War players have discovered a bug that is resetting camo progress when playing Zombies mode. It will be interesting to see if the developers managed to fix these glitches impacting players in the coming days.
