PC players can break Deathloop's time loop faster with reduced input times thanks to the Nvidia Reflex support.

As popular as Deathloop is proving to be with both audiences and critics, it hasn't been immune to performance issues that pop up after the public gets their hands on the game. One of those issues has been input lag causing notable command delays which, in some instances, can be the reason for starting Deathloop's time loop over. Nvidia is now offering a solution to this problem thanks to its own latency toolkit available for most Nvidia graphics card owners.

Nvidia Reflex is the latency toolkit available to download for any PC owners sporting a GTX 900 series or newer graphics card in their setup. The toolkit is marketed, primarily, as a boon for multiplayer titles where players are looking for a slight edge over other players. Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, Destiny 2, and the upcoming Battlefield 2042 are among the games with Nvidia Reflex support.

Nvidia announced Nvidia Reflex support is now available for Deathloop, along with the multiplayer shooter Splitgate. Once downloaded, Nvidia Reflex will help reduce latency in Arkane Studios' game up to 40% so commands are more responsive while trying to eliminate Blackreef's eight villainous visionaries. According to Nvidia, Reflex can reduce latency on a PC using the RTX 3080 Ti by eight milliseconds and the same PC using an RTX 3060 saw latency reduced by 16 milliseconds.

While Deathloop is not a multiplayer-focused title as other Reflex-supported games, it offers its own unique twist through game invasions. Players can invade another players game as Julianna in the hopes of catching players off-guard, kill them, and forcing them to restart the loop. Reducing latency will be a helpful tool for players in Cole and Julianna's boots as they venture across the island of Blackreef trying to eliminate the other.

Reflex support will help with the game's latency issues, but there are still players suffering from notable stuttering caused by framerate and mouse usage. Arkane Studios is aware of the stuttering and is currently working on a longterm solution set to arrive in one of the game's upcoming patches.

However, the addition of Reflex and Arkane's commitment to fix other issues hasn't kept the game from being review-bombed on Steam by players frustrated with the performance issues. It is a symptom of the modern gaming space, especially on PC, when games launch in a state players believe have failed to meet their expectations. It isn't exclusive to gaming, either, as notable films like Captain Marvel and Star Wars: The Last Jedi were also review bombed online.

Deathloop is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5.
